  1. Yep, I have a D700 and a D300s (but I don't think they exist anymore).
  2. I had a problem with my D80 - moisture had gotten into the camera (in the store - not by me! it was their display model). Full refund, no problems :D
  3. Is two a pack? I am in awe of people who can get more than one dog in one shot  I barely have any of my two together.
  4. I love the couple and the dog too :D Twenty Three 'I heard a whisper in my ear It said come with me away from here...' - The Getaway Plan
  5. You'll be using CF cards, Snook - that's the only thing the D700 takes. My D300s takes CF and SD. Honestly, the D700 is a lot of camera. And the D800 is even more (stupidly massive file sizes). I think Gapvic has the D7000, so she might pop her head in. I have heard good things about that camera.
  6. I was going to do that, but didn't want to lose anymore from the bottom or top (I have a thing about keeping normal ratios).
  7. Thank you Raineth! That was lovely to hear :D A friend messaged me lastnight to say that she felt like the mother was sort of showing the baby the big bad world (as she is facing a window). Here is another (with a head!): It was super dark. Still chuffed with how the D700 performs in low light.
  8. Ha, I guess it is when I've chopped her head off  This is more a bump study. I do like how the light was falling.
  9. I don't usually shoot maternity, I'm not that into light and bright, I like darker and moodier. But I think there is a very fine line between maternity and trashy maternity boudoir (vom), so I've steered clear of it. Until I was asked (well, begged) to do this one. Still not sure if I like it. It was a good day for dark and moody - nearly dark when we shot this at 4.30pm
  10. I know absolutely nothing about landscape photography, but the first two are beautiful. Gorgeous light! Not sure about the last one. I think the big blob of light in the middle is distracting.
  11. Oui. No, not really  I have French grandparents though and I'm sure they'd be thrilled if I learned the language.
  12. The both look fine on my monitor. The first one is a bit awkward, so I would probably turf that one. I actually really like the dog in the background of the second - has that one been cropped? I would probably give it a go in b&w and try to bring out the dog in the background a bit more.
  13. Strange. I don't find it heavy at all. But, I do know that the earlier models had an overheating problem (therefore slowing down shooting), but it has been corrected in the SB910. I think I've said before that I had the 600 for around two years without a drama, it wasn't until I starting shooting more weddings that I needed something more powerful.
  14. Seems ok. You can get the 700 for $448 http://camerapro.net.au/nikon-sb700-speedlight-australian-stock-p-3061.html And the spanky new 910 (which I have) for $635 http://camerapro.net.au/nikon-sb910-speedlight-australian-stock-stock-p-4846.html
  15. Gap - I meant to say that you have found lovely light in your last two images. Well done :)
  16. Me again Twenty Two 'Have you ever felt Ever felt like this? It feels almost like holding a wolf by its ears It's not finding the door, it's finding a resolution..' - The Getaway Plan
