They were most likely sent off to a lab who provided the digital files.

I thought tonights was better than anything previously shown :p Loved the Holgas. A while ago I went to the local op shop and picked up the three most plastic-y cameras I could find ($2 ea, the woman at the counter thought I was nuts) and I do use them every now and then. Thought the image that won was good, preferred the one with the man and the book though.

A touch early this week :) Twentyseven 'I fought for many and I won for some We stared at ourselves til our breaking point We wear our bruises like watermarks The life and the death of the wild at heart...' - Birds of Tokyo

One good thing, well two good things to come out of lastnights show - (a) Uncle Bob with the DSLR might realise there is a bit more to shooting a wedding than he previously thought. (b) Bride-to-be may realise that hiring Uncle Bob (because he has a good camera and will do it for free) might not be such a good idea.

They were OOF and there was also motion blur - because no doubt the cameras were on auto and in low light, the ss would have been too slow. The flash made me cringe. The personality of the first girl shooting the prep stuff made me cringe. Oh god. So bad. Those kids were looking at her like she had two heads, way too OTT.

Oh frig, that was so bad.

Just from the cheapy shop - a four pack for $2. I want one of the four of us, but Ed won't wear them

Congratulations Gapvic! It's gorgeous! Twentysix 'Save some face, you know you've only got one Change your ways, while you're young, Boy, one day you'll be a man, Oh girl, he'll help you understand. Smile like you mean it...' - The Killers

Yep, people get a shock when I say she's eight. She's starting to lose her hearing a bit and her night vision is pretty bad.

Lola's getting old too, so doesn't really appreciate the young whippersnapper's playful advances.

A couple of the usual afternoon routine... And a couple of Mr Handsome...

Pretty light once again, Gapvic :) Twentyfive 'I thought it through and my worst brings out the best in you (I got a bad feeling about this).' - Taking Back Sunday

Do you use the 17 end of the 17-70 at all?

On FX Sorry I would literally have thousands of images at 24mm - I use it the most.
-
I went and found some examples. 24mm on DX (I actually used this as I wanted some distortion - ie Brian's legs to appear longer, but there's not really any):
-
Most definitely. I do tend to shoot in a lifestyle way though. I just wouldn't use it for close ups. There is only slight distortion on the edges with the FX, none with the DX.
-
Nope. I couldn't have the 50mm as my widest, just not wide enough for groups (for me - I like to be closer). I used the 24mm constantly on the DX, but there is slight distortion on the FX - but still quite useable. I used the 24mm for the entire bathroom project - it was the only lens wide enough to use in such small spaces. I have the 105mm which I love so much more on the FX, but it is a bit slow for kids. Stunning for portraits though, I use it a lot for weddings.
-
I use my 24mm the most. It's always tack sharp too. Couldn't live without it.

Just watched it. Yelled at the tv Now I want to play with studio lighting.

I photographed one at the Ekka - super cute!

Fattima - I thought it was quite wolfish too, but have no idea about breed. I'm assuming it was taken at night and you have hit auto exposure in LR?

I had a go on the weekend. Can't get the right look - it is very challenging!! I'm a bit confused about the focus though. I manually focused on the subject, but then didn't refocus as I moved. I think I probably should have? -
I find the little aplle (?) thing on the bottom left distracting. Could you crop or clone him? ETA I can't really see a halo - just different patches of cloud in the sky.

For me - it's my monitor. It's gorgeous. It also runs much smoother than my old pc (I know - OLD pc). I can run LR and PS at the same time without any freezing or crashing. It just seems 'smoother', if that makes sense?
