I tend to give Lola's nose roll a wipe out once a week, but that's it. It's the only one that could harbour 'stuff' I've never had a problem with it. Not sure about farm animals, but I have chooks that free range in the yard with my dogs.
  2. My pug had it done when she was 6 months old. She is now 5 and on pretty frequent cartrophen injections. She limps a lot when and has trouble getting up when the weather is cold.

I find that too. Dogs really don't know how to take my pug. They tend to get right up in her face like they don't know what she's 'saying'.
  4. I love them Lea - especially the last two
  5. The thing is, babies can usually sleep through anything, so that was fine. But I wasn't going to risk waking the toddler up Fantastic work, as usual. Ralph's footsie is very cute
  6. Cool DD Playing with shoes... Tip toeing around the baby's room
  7. Shell, I'm no expert, but that fruit bowl looks perfect!
  8. Well, my camera is just a little point and shoot, so I put it on 'starry sky' mode, stuck it on my bedside table and set the self timer for 2 seconds. The torch is on my bed head, facing down so most of the light is blocked out. Is that what you meant?
  9. Lea, I really like the last one. How do you con your daughter into this all the time?
  10. Nothing wanted to cooperate with me tonight, so you're stuck with me being the subject
  11. Shell, I really like the second one. So cool
  12. Ok cool Thanks for the tips guys, I'll have another play tonight. Are not ;) At the moment I have an ancient Panasonic Lumix that Pana gave us until they get our new one in (TZ7). Although would love an SLR, it's (a) a bit beyond our budget at the moment and (b) I still need a camera I can take everywhere and shove into my handbag. So the new one is a top end compact. I'm really looking forward to getting it
  13. Ok, I have a question. When 'painting' with the light, is everyone going backwards and forwards over particular spots, or are you just going over it once?
  14. Thanks. Ignore all the hair And yep, I made that coat Awww, that would be great! It's ok though, because I know what the next step will be after I have a play with it
  15. Wow, this is hard. Yours are awesome, Vizsla! Hard to believe we have the same camera I can't seem to get that softness... This one was just using natural light this morning: And these two were in the dark with a torch:
  16. Oh wow - great start guys! Both fantastic! I will suck But I enjoy the challenge Thanks again for your dedication each month Ash.
  17. I don't have a tripod, but you can stick the camera on something sturdy and set the self-timer so it's doesn't move when you click.
  18. I went and saw a couple of bands lastnight and taking pics was definitely a challenge! It was so nice being able to use what I've learnt to attempt to take better photos, thanks Ash With this one, I had the camera set to 'Starry Sky' mode and the shutter was open for 15 secs (yes they are my feet ): Then I took a pile, some turned out - most didn't, but it was fun playing with all the camera settings. I like the two headed effect in particular
  19. And some frozen motion because the setting was not my backyard
  20. I agree - great panning shot of the little boy running We went to a local festival tonight and I had fun playing with long exposure:
  21. That one looks heaps better, Pointee
