  3. I shall be up at 4.30am tomorrow morning So am taking the camera along with me and might attempt to get some sunrise landscape shots if I get 5 mins. Lea I love that B/W of the car with the dog alongside
  4. I've only just seen this! How devastating for you both. I hope your ex is ok. Run free Bella :D

You gave her two years of love, Deelee - try to remember that. I'm so sorry you had to make this decision. xx
  6. I forgot about backlit! I did want to revisit long exposure because I really enjoyed it.
  7. Ok, I've been out walking, taking photos and scurrying home before some called the police :D Urban landscapes (I hope):
  8. I took this one a little while ago too. I will get some new ones soon :D :D
  9. It's a good little camera. It has a Leica lens, which is apparently very good. The TZ7 has a wide angle lens, so that should be handy for this month.
  10. Thanks Bindi, every now and then I completely fluke one That one was taken on a Panasonic Lumix that was around 5 years old. We have a brand new Pana now, the TZ7 - so still a point and shoot.
  11. Thank you Annie. I guess living in the city means that landscapes are more likely to involve the built environment than anything. I will concentrate on that. I think I am going to find this a real challenge because where I live is so surburban. When I think of landscapes, I imagine the 'wide open spaces' photos that have been posted. Hmmmm... challenging.... I did take this one when I was at the coast last month...
  12. Wow - just wow guys I fell off the wagon towards the end of the month, mostly because we use up our download limit and drop back to dial up speed. But I just upgraded to an 8GB plan, so should be able to heep up now I took some backlit shots the other day, but unfortunately my two year old is nude in them, so not really appropriate. So you'll just have to trust me when I say they turned out awesome Typical right?
  13. Yes, it's worth it! Supermarket stuff tastes blergh. There isn't a whole lot of price difference when you work out the cost per cup of tea.
  14. Oh I definitely agree with the supermarket vs T2. I've never heard it suggested for a dog though... It contains caffiene and will make her pee a lot (well, it makes me pee a lot )
  15. Was trying for silhouettes tonight, but I think I got backlighting instead... Even if I didn't, I am proud that Harry was still for long enough to get a photo! ETA :D They look so bad resized.
  16. Everyone is doing so well! Here are my first attempts, I promise to get out of the house on the weekend! This one isn't good, I wish I could get his big boofhead to be framed nicely by the door, but I inlcuded it because you can see his owrn down teeth I wanted a perfect pug profile, but she wouldn't cooperate...
  17. What an awesome thread! I love recognising the dogs and being able to finally see their owners. I'm always the one taking the pics too, so I barely have any. I've posted this one before... Oh and trying to teach Lols how to swim: I just realised that I have no recent ones at all and no pics of me with Harry. How slack.
  18. Oh nice Lea I like the textured version, Ash Awesome silhouette, Annie I'm still yet to get out there and give it a go. Tried a couple in my yard yesterday afternoon, but failed dismally.
  19. Beautiful Lea! My new camera got here on Sunday and I'm still yet to play with it I hope to get outside sometime this week....
  20. Awwww Ash, you're so cute. I love how you remeber about us point and shooters Apparently our long lost new camera is supposed be here tomorrow or Sunday. Can't wait to have a play
  21. Terra - Wow the sparkler orb is fantastic! Well done! Pointee - Great shot of the pointee It has a lovely warmth about it. CM - Very cute. I love how it looks like he is saying peek-a-boo

    Pug

Well, they are all different little dudes, but from my own experience: Lola is an independent cow. She is more attached to my other dog than us. She could go home with anyone and be happy so long as they fed her and gave her some lovin'. On her terms, of course She is a wonderful family dog - I could not have hoped for better. I have two sons, one is just over two and the other is 5 months. She has this instinctive slow amble around them, it's just beautiful. She puts up with lots of pats and even instigates play by bowing in front of my toddler. It's very cute. The only thing I would worry about is kids trying to pick up pugs as puppies (or older ). But we had the dogs before the babies, so it's never been a problem here.
