  1. They have vets in Laos? That is where the dog should be NOW. Please don't waste any more time. The dog could well die. Edited: Didn't read where it said you can't get to a vet, but do they have any vets there at all? A human doctor would be the next best thing.
  2. SC Dog Obedience Club link is HERE
  3. A dog was trapped underneath (an empty) one in the summer heat and died (it was posted on here). Apparently it was empty, and resting against something, and fell on top of the small dog and he died from the heat.
  4. Firstly, welcome to the forum. Has Mellow been vet checked recently? Is she on heartworm prevention? Normal Respiratory rate is 18-34 breaths per minute
  5. But none of these things would encourage a dog to recall, if anything they would discourage it, a lot! Very dangerous advice Heidii, and a good way to (potentially) get your face ripped open. These are not things you recommend over the internet to anyone, let alone your average dog owner. If things are that bad in your relationship with your dog, get a behaviourist in to assess the dog in the home.
  6. Run free beautiful boy. I remember reading about Frasers antics Sticks. He was a much loved boy. ;)
  7. Get a baby gate so he can't get to your bedroom. That at least takes away the opportunity to do it again, if it was dominance. :
  8. How sad to get to 12 and then be lost in this way. Run free Harry.
  9. If she stole money, why not take her to the small claims tribunal? You know where she lives now, so do something about it. All that is happening is that she is getting roasted on a forum, and she obviously won't stop doing what she is doing, as evidenced by contacting heaps of rescues. Be proactive, take your complaint to the police and see what they advise.
  10. Absolutely get a trainer/behaviourist in to see what is happening. Snapping at owners is not on!! And like the others have said, it isn't something you muck around with, or take advice over the internet with. For the moment, deny his access to all beds in the house. What breed is he? If you can let us know what area you are in, someone can recommend a good dog behaviourist.
  11. Gorgeous!! Yesterday would have been a great day for swimming in the dam. Love their serious faces.
  12. So sorry to hear about your cat passing. He was a handsome boy, I hope Fat Boy doesn't grieve too much. Run free Jinx
  13. I'm sorry to hear about your gorgeous girl Stefie. Run free Bg.
  14. Congrats on your little bundle, she sure has those 'melt your heart' eyes. How's the toilet training going? From memory, puppies pee lots, chew lots, and fart a lot. (well, Minty did)
  15. How clever Ash!! They looked great, I think the pic of them with Tohko behind the bars is a classic, Zues looks like a hyena. And the lion 'costume' will be a classic next year, very creative!!
  16. Aww, look at the fun they are having, just like kids running amok. Beautiful head shot too, I love BM's
  17. Agreed, even in his other pic his tummy looks bloated. Hope the little guy is okay, I would get him vet checked.
  18. What a lovely tribute. Run free Fitzy.
  19. Wiggle bums are such happy dogs. My staffy is a wiggle bum, and she is so joyful. Do you have any pictures to share of yours pumpitup? How are you doing today?
  20. That is such a gorgeous photo. Max sure loves snuggling.
  21. i feel so stupid but i am really suffering i might try lifeline. who would've thought a dog coould cause so much grief???? stupid dogs who would have them???? Not stupid at all. Grief is grief, it doesn't make it any less because it was an animal.
  22. You could call Lifeline on 11 13 14. That would be a good start. Any friends you can talk to, or family? There is some places with links below you can go to for help also. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=103345
