Good thing there is no ratsack then. Hope she did okay overnight? Keep us updated on the vets visit. Seizures can be very frightening, that's for sure.

Is there any ratsak laying around she could have ingested? I would definitely ring the vets and explain what happened, they will let you know if you should take her in now, or wait till the morning. Sounds like it could have been a seizure of some sort. Unless she hurt herself getting off the couch?

Probably a good idea to teach her to sit still for 5 minutes a day while you brush her. Look at what motivates her, and use this as a training tool. Like a treat for sitting still while you do some firm brush strokes. It would be good to do this after your daily exercise, so she is a bit tuckered out physically and mentally. Most labs are in the puppy stage for the first 4 years. It's great that you are going to do obedience with her, you will learn heaps and thus have a much happier dog as a result. :p Just a thought, she may be reacting to the brush you have, some dogs are very sensitive/tickly when being brushed.

Hi there H&D If Dazey is being dog aggressive, you should keep her on leash everywhere you go, even offleash parks or the beach. You can always get a long line and keep her on it at the beach if you want her to go swimming. Do you know her history? Being 8 and you've only had her 6 weeks, I would keep her safely away from other dogs until you find out why she is DA. What area are you in, someone could recommend a trainer/behaviourist. What breeds are you two?

So gaawjustaffs, please do the right thing by the pup & get the poor puppy to a vet, you live in Brisbane, not the outback! Who cares that you don't trust any vet....they are trained, you are not!
