  1. If you are wanting a behaviourist, just let us know what area you are in, and the wise folks on here can recommend you one. People get themi in for many reasons, dog aggression, pulling on walks, growling, resource guarding, food aggression, down to not getting off the couch when told. I paid around $90 (couple of years ago) from memory, and that included a report & follow up support by email if needed. My dog was behaving strangely, resource guarding, slinking around, going for my other dog....which is now all under control.
  2. Run a hot wire around the fence so the dogs (and him) cant get near each other. Tell him to keep his arms and legs on his side of the fence, and I'd still report his behaviour to council ranger, sounds like he might be trying to get some aggro response from them and get rid of your dogs. Good idea to film him when he does it. Idiot.
  3. I'm sure Kathy will get you back on track with your Lab. It's amazing how much you can (all) learn from a good behaviorist. Hope your hand isn't too sore, but good idea to get you both checked out by professionals, pity you can't get a 2 for 1 deal at the vet.
  4. Would a LG of some kind be suitable, looking after your littlies? Or do they only look after other livestock?
  5. Is this the father of the puppy you got in September? If so, look on his breeders papers, should tell you what you bought.
  6. Looks more Amstaff than Staffordshire BT. Have ou got a pic standing up?
  7. I pity the dogs in her care, , what an awful owner. Has this girl recently had pups?
  8. The housemates took turns to clean up after her, they did show it once or twice, Delilah had a sandbox to go in.
  9. I think a boxer would be better suited if you want to take it to the dog park....I don't like dog parks for all the reasons mentioned, but if you definitely want to do it, a Stafford or Amstaff isn't for you. As I said before, a male would be better suited, because bitches can be just that.
  10. The homes that the housemates had to choose from had been extensively screened by AWL. Delilah fitted in very well with the housemates, she really was a happy, well socialised girl, lucky family who got to adopt her. :D My own dog would be quivering in a corner as well if she was in there, way too much going on for her anxiety to handle.
  11. It souNded like the tv (woman's voice at the start) and the growling still sounds like an animal....could even have been a wayward cat that got in.
  12. I would have said Koala or maybe a possum, they sound purely evil.
  13. Firstly, it's great you want to do the research. :) Being in Vic, whichever one you decide upon, make ABSOLUTELY SURE they have pedigree papers, as the new dangerous dog laws in Victoria are well and truly in force...meaning any bull breed (or their cross) that fits the criteria can be seized and destroyed. So buying from a registered breeder and having the pedigree papers is important in that regard. Temperament is another, as well as health. Personally Id go with a Staffordshire BT, a male, and probably look for an older puppy/young dog....unless you specifically want a puppy.I think males get on better with other dogs, bitches are aptly named.
  14. Wow, they had a Cav? *throws a treat to Rudy* Edited because I haz the dumb today
  15. I think PA is asking if any one has a suitable dog in foster care, not for breed suggestions. :D
  16. Awww, I only just saw their show photos, so glad you had a good time with them, especially since you were up against lots of others. :D Saffy has a gorgeous kind face.
  17. I've only just found this, I'm so sorry to hear Bison lost his fight, but so glad you got to say a long goodbye. Run free Bison
  18. Oh, Harper is gorgeous, love the way her ears flop. What do the others think of the foster failure?
  19. Have a look on Ebay etc at ones for sale, and what they have been sold for previously. Its worth as much as what someone wants to pay for it I guess. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Digital-Cameras-/31388/i.html?rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=1&_nkw=nikon%20d50&_catref=1&_dmpt=AU_Digital_Cameras&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m283
  20. IMO the breeder is responsible, why rehome a 15 month old dog without desexing it?
  21. Yes, sell it privately, either on Ebay or on here. I'll buy it.
  22. Such a WTF moment right there.....surely she has a screw loose?
  23. I'd keep the cat outside in the run, make it weatherproof......put lots of interesting things in there for climbing/playing with...probably a better solutuion if you have allergies.
  24. Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear about Cal. Run free little man.
  25. Squeee!!! Tiny pony has a friend. And isn't he a randy little bugger. I bet she put him in his place quick smart!
