  1. Oh, such beautiful horses, Andalusians are one of my favorites, I'm so jealous right now!
  2. Sorry to hear about your girl, I was reading her story on the link you posted, can I ask why your behaviourist visit is $600? (and this is a follow up visit obviously?)
  3. Photo??? I like snakes and wish they could be left alone, but where i live we are in a set of 20 units, we range from 90 year old ladies who spend all day every day into their garden down to i guess it would be me - pregnant with a new born only weeks away. It isnt safe to let them have run of the place when they do show up My brother has a snake (python of some sort) and i love him, im one of the few people who will walk in and hold him, everyone else is scared of him! I think they are amazing animals... when not in my backyard! Here you go.... my beautiful Elmo. *Named by my kids.... He was about 18 months at a guess in this pic. I must take some new photos of him as he's a big, beautiful boy now! See him smiling???? Proof that he doesn't want to hurt anyone! :) Elmo is a beautiful example of a RBB. Such stunning snakes I think, and probably the only Ven I would ever think of owning. They do have a very tolerant nature, the opposite of a Brown.
  4. So you haven't told him your leaving him and taking the dogs yet? I'd sit him down and tell him you are breaking up, and let that sink in first, poor guy probably has no idea that his whole life is a out to be turned upside down. Honestly, if he does want one of the dogs, let him have one....agree to discuss it again a few months down the track to see how he/the dog is coping. As for the house/furniture stuff, it has to be sorted out separately.
  5. Because they play an important part in our ecosystem.
  6. Your welcome Nic, hope they can be of some help to you.
  7. They've tried ringing but no answe, so have left a message for you to call them back.
  8. Passed them on to the guy to call you, you can take them down now.
  9. Nic, can you PM me? I have someone who can help. Can you pm me your phone number, (landline) as I have someone who can help (he will call you first) and if necessary he will send one of his contacts in your area out.
  10. What are are you in Nic? Pm me if you like Just read where you are, so I've posted on the forum just know, hopefully I'll get a response soon.
  11. That's right, and risk being bitten, well done. Have you got a snake catcher yet? I can post on the forum I'm on and someone will come out, or will know of someone to ring. RBB are beautiful snakes, and besides, it's illegal to kill or injure wildlife.
  12. Try the hose method, it isn't going to come in your house and attack you, it's a RBB, not a monster.
  13. This is not the time to turn the thread into a bitch fight people, please have some respect. I'm so sorry your boy went through this Cazstaff, a terrible way to end his long life. Run free Buddy.
  14. I had this problem, and a couple of others, some got a behaviourist out for one session who showed me how to deal with this, worked really well for us. You can redirect their drive, and work it to your advantage.
  15. Welcome. :D Congrats on your new pup, we need pics of course. I'm sure someone who lives in that area will come along and recommend a vet nearby.
  16. Found what I was looking for myself. :D
  17. Always pays to do your research on any dog business. There were complaints from 2 years ago. HERE
  18. Wow, just a beautiful photo, the colors are so intense.
  19. Gorgeous pup, congratulations and well done on the bunnings panels as a roof. :D Not sure if you have this already, but he will need something like a polar fleece blanket or a bunny rug to snuggle into, Boston's don't have much coat and pups feel the cold more, especially with the crazy Melbourne weather, one minute boiling hot, next day you need the heater on. And please don't leave his collar on unless youre supervising him, it can so easily get hooked on the crate/playpen and choke him. Just a tip for now, and also in the future...a few members have lost their dogs to collar accidents.
  20. Apparently the police are now looking into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance. And the family aren't happy about it. Hmm
  21. Cazablanca, I don't think the council contacted the dog's owner. The two men who stopped to help did? Ah, thanks for pointing that out, I misread the OP. :)
  22. I'm surprised the council contacted the owner if it was a dangerous dog. Surely they are meant to do a report or something? I'd report it, stupid irresponsible owners.
  23. You don't need permission from your landlord for anything that isn't permanent, a dog run is not permanent. Save yourself the stress (and your pups stress) and buy a run, it is always handy to have a secure run for when you move anyway. No way should a pup be crated all day (even with breaks) it's cruel.
