  1. I'd only do it for the possible health benefits (discuss this with your vet, as GA always carries risks at any age, but the older they get etc etc ) and on the off chance possibility it may calm him a little. I think some mental exercises, and basic training would be a definite plus, and just be glad you have a happy, friendly, bouncy boy :D
  2. Here's the link to Eskys profile, where you can send her a private message. LINK
  3. Heres a few other good ones.
  4. Perfume, I'd ask Troy (the owner of DOL) to close the thread, otherwise it will stay and gather momentum and may come back to bite you. Good luck with your search, patience is a virtue.
  5. Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear about Tibor, sending you much love and hugs. Run free Tibor.
  6. Lucky kids, I woulda been in heaven.
  7. The breeder sounds thorough, much better to have questions asked and photos taken than a breeder who doesn't care where their puppy is going. The questions being asked is probably to find out if they have a puppy to suit you.
  8. You could plead to their good sense, (depending on the age and personality of the kids involved)....some are just being normal rambunctious kids, explain to them in a friendly non confrontational way that your dog is a really great dog, and by them barking he/she is getting fearful and them being the nice kids that they are, wouldn't want that on their mind. Or if they are just truly awful kids, keep the dog inside/away from that area for the time when they are likely to be going past, no reward for them when they aren't stirring anything up. It's a fine line with horrible kids, their parents could be worse and you end up with more trouble. Corner blocks are a pain!
  9. It's great that Jane was able to see you so quickly, and see first hand the fight, it's quite scary how quickly it can escalate. Now you have strategies and a game plan, excellent. Can you keep us updated on the girls, I'd be interested to see how it all pans out.
  10. I got these ones and found them to be quite flimsy. My dog refused to use them and they ended up in the bin.
  11. Very stressful for both you and the dogs I imagine. Can they both wear something at might, just in case?
  12. Okay, shared....just letting you know when I shared it to FB, it comes up "Currently on trial", but I did say to ignore that bit. :)
  13. I;ll share on my FB if that helps, Mika looks like a darling girl.
  14. All very different breeds, maybe pick the breed you really want, and then contact breeders and go from there? It's nothing to wait 6 months to a year for your chosen breed, just ask people on here. Sorry, I don't have any experience with missing incisors, but I'd personally not take a pup who might incur a hefty vet bill down the track from the problem.
  15. Well don't beat yourself up over it, I've been in a similar situation myself and well and truly kicked myself for not recognizing the signs, but it's done now, so onwards and upwards. Can you keep them separated for now? Bitches can be so ...well, bitchy! I don't know of any other trainers up that way, maybe someone from Qld will drop in for a recommendation.
  16. He's probably complaining about being kicked out of the house, and wants to be inside with his pack. Let him sleep inside in his crate. Problem solved.
  17. Hi, and welcome to Dogzonline. Thumbs up for being proactive, Jane Harper is highly recommended, I'll give the link to her website below :) Jane Harper
  18. Here's her link. Jane Harper if you wanted to check her out
  19. Jane Harper is up your way I think, are you on GC or Brisbane?
  20. Nasty, they don't call them bitches for nothing. Could be anything, challenge for top dog, the move, sickness, a combination of all. Behaviorist to assess, separate them (crates are good) until you have some professional help. Poor Bon. She looks like she knew she was going to cop it
  21. Try taking him out the front to do his business at night, on a longish lead, and stay with him. Praise him, Then straight back in, no mucking about. Does he get anxious inside, or restless at night? He might be too hot, he might be not tired....a multitude of things
  22. Vale Ralph, the shortest but cutest superhero ever.
