-
LOL no. They had a note saying they were too late.

Hmmm I just tried again and still cant access the site. Are you using: http://www.mayfoto.net ETA I am still getting a URL not found error, so maybe it is blocked by the ISP ...?? I am keen to see if Magi'c photos have been put up yet!
-
Is anyone else having problems accessing the site for the Brisbane Royal Photos? I have been trying www.mayfoto.net for three days and only get a "cant find the server at www.mayfoto.net" error. Just checking in case I have the URL wrong or something

My entries for Coolamon Ganmain were returned despite a message from the cataloguer that entries were still open. They were posted four weeks before the show, and returned three weeks before the show. Entries for Ganmain (posted at the same time) have not been returned. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same??

the article : Man refused bail over dog cruelty By ACT court reporter Katherine Pohl Updated Tue May 11, 2010 5:12pm AEST Dusko Culibrk has been refused bail in the ACT Magistrates Court. (ABC News: Penny McLintock) Map: Nicholls 2913 A Canberra Magistrate has refused bail to a 25-year-old man charged with animal cruelty, saying the allegations are bizarre and callous. Dusko Culibrk is charged with three counts of animal cruelty. Yesterday police went to the Nicholls home where he lives with his parents, after a report that a dog had been killed. They found a dead rottweiler on the kitchen bench. Two dogs were found in the backyard and one had injuries to its eye and legs. Police told the ACT Magistrates Court, they found Culibrk's father asleep in a car in the driveway when they arrived. Police say he told them he was not sleeping inside the house because his son was violent. A forensic mental health officer told the court, her records showed the 25-year-old had previously injured his mother with a knife. She said the accused told her he would keep his dogs under control by stopping their airflow so they would fall unconscious. But he said he did not intend to kill his dog. Police also told the court they have video footage from a neighbour which shows the accused strangling a dog. It also heard the neighbours are terrified of retribution. Magistrate Beth Campbell refused bail, saying the accused was either very unwell or a violent man. He is due back in court in a fortnight.

Staffy Cross Missing After Airport Stuff Up

Poor Goldie . My sympathy goes out to her owners. I dont see why people are blaming the air freight company though - it is the owners (collecters) responsibility to get their pet safely to their car, not the freight companies. It sounds to me like the new owners had no idea about how to get a dog safely out of a crate (it it was silly of the AAE employee to 'help' out by opening the crate - he should have let the owners do this) -

Best Way To Pay For An Import
BittyMooPeeb replied to BittyMooPeeb's topic in General Dog Discussion
Hi DeepImpact, I did have the swift code for the transfer, and was told at the bank that the only charges would be their own charge, and that of the receiving bank. I was not told that they would not send the money to the receiving bank, but would send it somewhere else first! So it seems like Paypal might be the go (I am still fuming at paying $50 to transfer $1000 - what a rip off!! no wonder banks make huge profits). Does anyone know if the recipient needs to have a paypal account? -
I tried to call Liberty today to order a spare part for my dryer, and their 1800 number is disconnected, and their ordinary phone number gets me the answering machine of a "joan" with a completely different number to the one I rang (I tried twice) Does anyone know if Liberty has shut down? (their website is still up and running) Gail

I paid my deposit for a dog using an international money transfer. My bank charged me a fee, but then I got slugged with another fee from an 'intermediary' bank. I am fuming at my bank, who did not inform me that they would not be sending the money directly. They claim it is in their terms and conditions that "other banks might charge a fee" (which it is) but how was I supposed to know that they would be sending the money to another bank and not the one I wanted the money to go to? So, apart from venting about my (now hated) bank, I wondered how other people pay for imports without being slugged with huge bank fees.

Re grooming as compared to a shih-tzu, the shih-tzu coat is heavier than a Hav, and is trimmed, headfall put up etc. A Hav coat is lighter and left 'natural' so no trimming (except feet and genitals), headfall is left natural for show. I have had pet shih-tzu's but not a show dog so dont know what is required to groom a show Shih. For a Hav, keeping them clean and knot free is the most important between show task. Most people dont band. People with white (or parti) dogs often keep them off grass. When mine were younger I needed to brush every day. Once coat change is over, mine dont need brushing as much. I clean mouths every night, but apart from that, mine have free access to teh garden. To prepare for show, some wash only and let dry naturally, some blow dry as well. A light show spray or balm is used on show day - something that doesn't weigh the coat down too much. Cheers Gail
