:D that would be shocking From memory that exhibitor was told that she should blacken the dogs toenails. Now the Standard for the breed does call for black nails but it also says: Faults: Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree and its effect upon the health and welfare of the dog. I hardly think that the dog would be in a predicament if it's nails weren't black :D Non-black nails = breathing problems? Or patella luxation??? :D Better get the texta out!

I have heard from an exhibitor where a judge told her she should artifically enhance her dog. It's a sad, sad state of affairs when a judge advises an exhibitor they should be cheating. What the judge didn't know is that the dog in question was a Gr Ch anyway and had got to that title without being comestically altered.

Yup - I even let one of my puppy buyers know taht I'm happy to change their details over. Am happy to do it for a few more too. I am sure Benson's breeder would be more than happy too as well . simple phone call can fix it all :D Out of confusion though - does it actually work as a normal show? So you get points for BCC/DCC and BOB, then points for NIG and points for NIS or is it just points at BOB level? Ta Points for neuters are only at breed level. So there are no extra points for beating 10 other neutered dogs in the group etc.

Many NT shows have EFT details in their schedules. You just need to print out the transfer receipt and include it in the envelope with your entries. Easy peasy.

The papillon puppy prices aren't advertised, but I have been quoted between $800 and $2000 for a show bitch. They seemed more expensive on the east coast.

Just had a thought... even if some doggies don't make the catalogue, they might still be on bags, the website and other promo material. The email I got back said she hopes I'm based in Sydney, but boo I'm not. Hope they still want us then!

Pappy they asked if I had a preference for days which I do, between thurs and fri, so she said she should be able to organise that for me. She's really lovely, the person you email. Did she say anything about payment too? Hey, I have a long way to travel!

I've sent an email to the address he commented with, let's see what comes back. Hope it's a day when I can actually go. And grab a cheap flight.

Apparently he wants Portia too! He's just commented again on a whole heap of photos. I'm guessing even if all the dogs attended, not all of them would be in the catalogue. I'm wondering why all the extra dogs needed now? Especially ones that weren't on the breed list to start with.

I put Portia on there, lying on her Paris Hilton-pink pillow, looking very regal and posh. A few other people have commented on her too, which was nice.

I was thinking about it, but now I'm house-sitting for my boss while she's in Bali for the first 2 weeks in July. I'm doing up my Dogs NT shows and Royal entries this week with my pay.

Shame Helen has only males. I happily vouch for Helen and her dogs. :D From a happy Koolena papillon owner.

The Darwin DOLers will be adding their contributions. Posting on behalf of myself, darwinroyal, -Megz- and caffiend42. We try to regularly get together for a trivia night and tonight we managed to all make it. Jed of course was the first thing we spoke about on arrival. We collected the team sheets, and the bonus question sheet was 'name the dog breeds pictured'. Of course it was a sign. We named our team Deshonko Kennels in honour of Jed, her sense of humour and of course her dogs both still with us and the ones who passed in these unfortunate circumstances. We ended up winning the night, riding on the back of our 9/9 dog breed bonus sheet, and we would like to donate the $50 cash prize to the Pacers effort to help care for the dogs lucky enough to be here with us today. Sending our love to Jed, her family (both human and furry) and everyone involved.
