  1. Poor Huddy! Luckily things seem positive for a good outcome. Hope he gets to come home soon. :D
  2. I don't know how I would go with a Lappie coat. Paps coats are fairly easy care. I'm just a far away admirer.
  3. Glad the Theldaroy's enjoyed themselves? Not trekking the rest of the way to Darwin? I want to see the Lappies! Have a safe trip home, those of you who have to go.
  4. Thanks for posting Meg, and the pic of the BIS line up was fantastic!
  5. Welcome! I have a papillon girl (entire) and a neutered papillon boy (nice to see more neuters getting out and about!). Will look out for you.
  6. I will be breeding my first litter at the end of the year or beginning of next year. I intend to be upfront and honest with any puppy buyers. If someone wants a show prospect, I will likely keep them to run on myself for a short time to see how they are turning out before I make the final decision. I'm more worried about a buyer hoping to show and the pup turns out to be a dud. But they will be healthy! I won't sell a pup unless it's 100% healthy, checked by a vet on the day of departure.
  7. No jeans ever for me. Either pants or skirt don't bother me, but I wear pants for the pocket factor. Bright suits..... depends on the dog I suppose. As long as they're not fluoro colours, I can cope with that. They do stand out nicely against the darker dogs like Dobes and Rotties.
  8. I have 2 leads, a plain black one with a plaited neck piece, which works well with Portia's sable colouring. I also have a white and gold beaded lead, which also matches quite well for a bit of sparkle. Blaze has inherited that one as the black suits Portia better I think.
  9. On top of that, it's pretty unethical to charge hundreds of dollars extra for papers.
  10. Liamber is right, points are only at breed level, but it's better than nothing.
  11. I noticed that BB, nice to see it was shared around! The first neuter in the WORLD to get points towards a title was awarded at Alice Springs, an Italian Greyhound.
  12. Yeah I think there is a Tibbie going to come back in for neuter too, and depends on who else travels up with their neuters. My boy is 6! He's almost old enough to go into Veterans too He just looooves the ring, he gets so excited when it's his turn. Wish Portia would pick up some of his enthusiasm!
  13. What breed? I have a neuter in Group 1 too..... let's battle it out for Neuter in Group!
  14. At the halfway point of the year, Portia has added a few more points, so she is at 44, so almost half way there. And I have applied for, and been granted a prefix of my own.
  15. Hmmm maybe I could start bringing my dogs into work with me when I start seeing clients..... animal assisted therapy!
  16. Hey darwinroyal, will you be putting a breed breakdown on the Royal site this like like you have in previous years? I'm getting all excited now and the next shows for me are still 2 weeks away!
  17. Also, can anyone please tell me separate results for paps, if there are any on the Alice/Tennant parts of the circuit? I'd like to keep the Pap thread updated.
  18. I'm jealous! Don't know what day paps are on, but Portia's breeder is going this year, so stalk the paps and say hi if you happen to see her (Helen).
  19. Good luck Alice Springers, and yes, results would be lovely if anyone has time or access. I'm thinking of heading down for the September triple.
  20. I'm fairly sure that they are not allowed to. As an exhibitor I certainly wouldn't put a judge in that situation.
  21. Look out for pappies Fran. A rellie of Portia's is now over in the Rocky area being shown. :D
