Disappointed with the 7PM Project's take on the whole thing.

Darwin Royal set up is much like our normal shows. It is not a benched show, however there are exhibitor spaces for gazebos marked out, and a 'rope fence' as a barrier between us and the public. Adults seem to respect the rope more than kids, which isn't great when you have your dog crated near the front for people to see and kids stick their icky fingers in the crate. Exhibitors are quite close together, so there isn't a big security risk if you need to walk away quickly, there is always someone there to keep an eye out. We are a friendly bunch! If dogs are going back into trailers after being exhibited, most owners are vigilant about locking the doors. A few years ago kids were seen playing with the doors on a trailer where dogs were inside, so that was a bit of a reminder for everyone. We are able to pre-purchase additional entry tickets with our dog entries.

Even if there were staff on the doors, the chi will have been small enough to tuck into a jacket and slip by unnoticed.

So this guy just grabbed a dog off a trolley and ran? That's disgusting. I hope the police are taking this theft very seriously.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Congrats Cassie! What's the tails situation like (full/bobs?) All the one colour (is it called wolf grey or something? Sorry, still learning about Valls, I love them!)

totaly agree with what SwaY said My thoughts also. Although you could perhaps email back asking for more information and leave your contact number. This is what I would do. The email said it came from an iPhone, so they probably did it on the run. Not the smartest idea I know, but it could turn out to be a good potential puppy home?

Anyone Know Of Any Pet-friendly Motels In Melbourne?
Paptacular! replied to Kirty's topic in General Dog Discussion
DR, that one looks good. And pets inside, I like the sound of that! Will keep that in mind if/when I need to take Portia to Melbourne. :D -
For Portia's first birthday she got a party hat, and the paps shared a cupcake from the supermarket. It had a candle in it, of course.

Does your breed standard require full dentition? Do judges count teeth in your breed? If not, I would still say show. If they need to check for a scissor or level bite, they will still be able to determine that on the side of the dog's mouth with full dentition.

What Breeds Would You Consider?
Paptacular! replied to Lucy's mama's topic in General Dog Discussion
Papillons are great little agility dogs. Prone to yapping, but not too bad if trained early on when to stop. -
Do you mean Pug was BIG?

I think I'm going to swap out Saluki with an IG! They're so very sweet, the ones I know anyway.
-
I'm hanging out for Group 1 too! Think they are the first group back after lunch break.

Very jealous, I haven't even said hello to her in person yet! :D Hope you told her Portia is in very good hands!
-
Yes I did see that!! Must be a typists error? Everyone will be thinking, how can an unentered dog win BOB?
-
Did you manage to see the paps? Portia's breeder was there with her lot and did very well! 5 entered, 5 places including Bitch Challenge/RUBOB and Puppy of Breed.

Dogs Victoria Wanting To Take More Decisions From Breeders.

I do agree with this. -
I recognised a Finnish Spitz at the vet sometime last year. The lady was pleasantly surprised that I identified the breed. She's the only one in the NT.

How Did You Find/choose Your Dogs Breeder?
Paptacular! replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
I based my answer on Portia. Found her breeder on the DOL website, I did email a few breeders saying I was looking for a bitch to show. Portia's breeder was the first to reply and we built up a rapport, even though I did eventually purchase a puppy from another breeder, who unfortunately died a short time later. She did ask a few months later if I was still looking, and that's when she told me that she had Portia available. I'd definitely buy from her again, and am more than likely going to use one of her stud dogs for Portia's first mating. -
Nikivds, what are the major differences between an ETT and a min pin?
