  1. I think its a great networking tool. The point about spamming with results and pictures to try and grab the attention of upcoming judges on your friends list is a foreign concept to me. But anyway, isn't this what happens in magazines that most of the judges get for free anyway?
  2. I'll be watching this topic with interest. I'm keen to hear about collapsible trolleys.
  3. Which is Australia wide as far as I'm aware too.
  4. According to the vet certificate I just received, Portia isn't in fact a red sable, she's tan and white.
  5. I may have missed this, but how old are your kids? This may be a factor that pap breeders consider. When my family got our first pap, us kids (3 girls) were 8, 6 and 4. We visited the breeder's place twice before we picked Pierre up to take him home. If a breeder will let you visit with your kids and observe their behaviour around their dogs, this can help you and the breeder to decide whether a pap is right for your family. (On a side note, we were sitting on the floor nice and quietly, then the breeder 'released the hounds' and we were ambushed by a tidal wave of paps, jumping on us and licking!)
  6. Thats coz you are in the NT. This means everyone should come and have a nice showing holiday! July circuit, so many shows on offer, so many neuter points to be had! Just did a count, Blaze has 60 points towards his N.Ch. Hard to believe it's been 10 shows already!
  7. Do a search, many topics about this. Basically the dog needs to have a black nose and blue staffies can't.
  8. I'm going to count Blaze's up later today.... he's probably around the 50's.
  9. Question about blue staffies for exhibitors...... I'm sure many stafford exhibitors have witnessed some poor naive person take their blue in the ring. Are judges quite knowledgeable that it is not correct in the standard? Will a judge generally dismiss a blue, place them last in a class or non-award?
  10. Yes, a pet is classed as a 'chattel' (property, commodity, 'thing').
  11. Jed, to me "Pets Only" means that they will be sold on the Limited Register and are NOT for Showing or Breeding. The fact that they are sound, healthy animals does not mean that they have to be bred from. As far as I am concerned ALL puppies born should have at least had an attempt to be produced as "Sound , healthy pups anyway. Of course, things frequently go wrong, but if it is so severe that it would affect the animals quality of life or mean a lifetime of medication and expenses I would put the pup to sleep first anyway. This is what I'm planning to do with my first litter. Anything that I don't keep for myself will be Limit Registered and sold with a desexing contract.
  12. Fingers crossed for Ruby. I hope she's saved a couple in there for you.
  13. These kinds of mismarks occur in papillons too and are disqualifying faults. There must be colour covering both eyes and the entirety of their ears.
  14. Rare and disqualified colours in papillons. The following are disqualified because the standard states the nose must be black. Blue papillon (extremely rare). These dogs have a blue nose and blue leathers (eye rims, lips). Liver papillon (has liver nose and leathers) Liver tricolour (liver, tan and white)
  15. Kimba looks mighty annoyed. :D Awwww Mum, not the camera again!
  16. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Nyam nyam nyam (yes, Portia does this!)
  17. Almost passes for a tri pap. :D Such a cutie.
  18. The bitch BIG pap was Papco Heaven Sent. The dog BIG pap was Papco Hastalavista Baby.
  19. Does anybody know who was BOB papillon?
  20. Is anyone able to please tell me how many paps are entered?
