I was there today, if anyone saw me in a purple dress, carrying around a papillon with no blaze, looking around like everything was so big!

Are there any foods that naturally contain folate? And human folate tablets are fine? What about the dose for a toy dog (2.5kg)?

I could be way off, but are you referring to the types that just breed & never step a foot into the show ring? Personally, I think it's still a handy tool being compared against your peers. I thought she was referring to judges who put up poor examples which continue to be bred from, so that's what people come to believe is acceptable.

Nah, you're in Darwin now ;) I've only been showing for 2 years (so I'm still new). My dogs and I have done an assortment of 'wrong' stuff. -I've stopped in the wrong place.................then said to the judge 'Oh, wrong spot. Do you want me to come over there?' -My bitch decided she was in love with a judge so she face-planted into his chest and swooned. There's heaps more, but one stands out. My boy peed on another exhibitor We were having a chat and I wasn't watching him. I was mortified and did help clean up. She's still talking to me (and possibly reading this ) Mmmmmm drenchy Dane pee. ;)

This is exactly what I get with Portia 90% of the time..... slugs around the ring with her tail down, and as soon as we are out of the ring, up goes the tail. :D

I know some toy breeders don't microchip until after registration, because pups are still too tiny. This would mean toy breeders would be registering their litters later, possibly leaving puppy buyers unhappy about waiting for papers.

The problem is I think some people anthromorphise (I think that's the word) dogs too much..... giving them human 'thoughts' and traits.

Since when was it illegal? It's the oldest profession in the world. I didnt realise it was illegal. Good point. She's probably been watching too many US cop shows where the undercover cop tries to pick one up and does a bust. My mum's not as bad, but she's like 'But what if she doesn't like him?' Having a beautiful, bright sunny day..... and by the time evening rolls around (which is when our shows are held) the weather goes to crap.

Discrimination is pretty rife throughout our various Victorian dog laws. Eg. Dog #1 in Public Place - Microchipped and Council Reg'd. Not actually wearing Council Rego Tag on collar. Ka Ching! $240.00 Fine to that dog owner, thank you very much. Dog #2 in Public Place - Microchipped and Council Reg'd. Not actually wearing Council Rego Tag on collar. But has been shown at Dogs Victoria Sanctioned event in last 12 months. That's ok then. No fine to that dog owner. What????? I agree... what?!?! How will they know if the dog has been shown at a sanctioned event? Any doofus can say that, the council would have to take their word for it.

Greyt, she didn't do a rant as such, but her view on the situation is just warped and humanised.

She's not 'special' but there is no doubt in my mind that she is not normal. Most high maintenance person I have ever known. Her way or the highway.

My older sister (who lives in another state and who I rarely speak to in person, thank god for that) seems to have this notion in her head that if you send your bitch to be mated by a stud dog, it's prostitution. And because it's illegal for humans, shouldn't it be illegal for dogs? I've said to her its completely different, but her comment back was 'but you are still exchanging money for sex, how is that different?' Living sperm donor. That's not illegal as far as I know. It would be kind of funny if she weren't so pig headed and has a way of arguing her point in a way that makes me feel like crap.

I have a Honda City and it has a fairly good boot space, but again, I wouldn't want to order something, have it bought all the way up here and have it not fit! :D

All of the abovementioned would collapse flat. It will just depend upon your boot size and the size of the trolley as to whether it will fit. Excellent. :D Depth of boot isn't an issue, will just need to measure width of the opening.

Are there any trolleys that fold up/collapse? I will be looking for a 2 berth soon, and will need it to fit in my boot!

I agree with Angelsun. If there's nothing actually WRONG with the dog in terms of health, conformation and temperament, why should that dog's breeder need to replace it?

Recently Portia won a 6 point BOB. And this is what I put on FB, so I wasn't fooling anyone by saying she had a lot of competition. One person anyway said 'doesn't that mean she's the only one there?'. Still, the judge could have refused her.
