  1. Sire throws tri colour and Portia's mum's a tri too, so I'm hoping for a nice one in there!
  2. Sorry to hear Fingers crossed for next season. Looks like I'm all alone at the moment!!!
  3. Oh bugger. How do you know so early though?
  4. I'd want to know as well, and for this reason.
  5. Can anyone please let me know the Pap results?
  6. Europe doesn't have a big dog show culture? Where did you hear that one?
  7. I recently took my girl to Vic for a mating. The breeder filled in the form with the stud and bitches details and signed it for me to take home. Our arrangement is payment for the stud service when the pups are on the ground.
  8. The bonus to this is, if they see you eating it they will want some! This is the way it works in my house anyway.
  9. Of course she will remember you :D When we used to leave Pierre, our old dog at the kennels, he would be excited for a few hours after we picked him up, then ignore us for a day. She will be fine
  10. It will be on the bottom of the post, right above your name. I've already done one, go add one too. shortstep, what are you even doing on this forum if you are advocating against what this forum stands for?
  11. Yes, the half brother/half sister situation is what I was worried about, I have these babies due in February if all goes well.
  12. Portia quite enjoyed watching that Send in the Dogs show. Years ago a friend's dog jumped off the couch while the tennis was on and tried following the ball.
  13. Ok, I'll bite. Papillons due from 1st-4th February...... did 4 AI's spanning 4 days, so just depends on exactly when she ovulated. My first litter...... excited but nervous as hell!
  14. Portia may have a bug, don't know about Blaze. He does have a tendency to gobble and not chew.
  15. My household is guilty of leaving a bowl of biscuits down all day. I've been wanting to stop it, but my parents throw every argument under the sun that they need them. Under instruction from my breeder I was told to enforce it, so this week we trialled it. I've trialled feeding biscuits at breakfast and their usual wet food/diced mince at night. In the morning they won't touch the food so it gets taken away. Night time they eat as normal. Until the past 2 days, where Blaze has gobbled down his dinner and thrown it all up, last night and tonight. They were still not interested in breakfast. What's the best way to remove 'all day' food and have 2 set meal times? Also, Portia and I went on a trip to Vic last week and she has gone a bit off her food and vomiting, both food and froth if she's had an empty tummy. Yesterday she had an anti-nausea needle and no vomit, but vomit today, and she didn't eat much. Little worried about her, though yesterday the vet didn't find anything physically wrong (no fever, no tight abdomen etc).
  16. I will be following the 8 and 12 week protocol.
  17. i'm trying to understand these ones. why would you enter in these? whats the benefit? A lot of shows don't offer these classes. In the NT they don't, and from what I hear you would be hard pressed to find them in other states. As far as I know, they're mainly used in specialties.
  18. Why didnt you say hello. It would have been nice to meet you. I own Basilika O Rei Pele. Hello, congrats on your lovely win, by the way. We had to leave just before 11.30, as I had to be at the airport by 1pm so we must have missed you. The only pap people there when we left were Sharon and (I feel so bad for forgetting her name!) the lady with the baby puppy bitch from Silvanwood.
  19. I tend to agree really.... there must be some reason the pup was born dead.
  20. I use Animal House, but I'm really interested in getting some of the Isle of Dogs range to try.
