My first choice for my prefix is related to the area I've lived in most of my life and not breed specific. I unfortunately didn't get it. I got my 2nd choice, which was breed specific. I do like the prefix though. Dug myself in a hole? Possibly, but I figure if I wanted to branch out and breed another breed I can apply for another prefix and let my original one lapse.

I recently flew a dog as excess baggage with both Qantas and Virgin Blue - no issues with either. For a small dog (under 10kg) it was $50 for Qantas with AAE and $55 with Virgin through Toll. No extensive documents when I put Portia on the Qantas flight. Be wary of which airports you can/can't take dogs into the terminals. We flew Darwin to Melbourne and return. Although dogs are allowed in the Melbourne terminal, when Portia was boarded in Darwin by freight (because dogs aren't allowed in the Darwin terminal), she came out at AAE in Melbourne. Same as sending her back via Virgin - went through the freight part rather than the terminal. The people when you book the flights should be able to give you all this info.

This breed can work cattle and also serve as a guard dog; it was bred and used as a military dog under Josip Broz Tito. Which breed is it?

I know one Japanese Chin Samoyed & think some of the sight hounds too, Saluki, Greyhound?? Papillons have hare feet also.

In short NO! It's not your fault there was an unplanned mating if the dog and bitch were not on your property. If they had no intention of mating from the dog you bred because of the mouth issue (which would probably effect showing as well?), they should have had it desexed. If the mating was unplanned, they didn't like the sire's mouth, why are they even running a puppy on? Smells fishy to me.

If we get a nice enough bitch to show, she'll be staying with Mum when I move out with Blaze and Portia, to be a companion for Minka (she wouldn't cope as an only dog). Hoping there's a 2nd nice show pup in there, not fussed on either sex.
