  1. So is the $19.95 inclusive of shipping? It looks confusing, the way I read it was the crate was $19.95 and total $49.90 was with shipping?
  2. Just under a week away now. Lots and lots of kicking and movement in the belly. Whelping box is set up in the bedroom so she can sleep in it and get used to it. I think I have all my supplies ready now. I think pregnancy agrees with Portia. She seems quite happy and content. Early on she was off her food and a little sick, but unsure if that was to do with the pregnancy or from the travel/plane fumes. I'm getting a bit nervous now.
  3. Haha, that's hilarious! She is very playful actually, she and Paddy were playing through the puppy pen and this morning she and Akira were playing and she was biting Akira's ruff. I'm totally jealous that you can take her to work! I wish I could, but our office manager hates dogs (to the point of being phobic)
  4. Darwinroyal has a link in her sig I think, that has options for dog friendly accommodation. They may not be 100% up to date, but a good starting point.
  5. Blaze is a big licker. Minka is a little bit, not as much. She does occasionally suckle on my Mum's toes though!
  6. Any news KR? Lots of movement in Portia's belly.... kicking and poking. I'm feeding her in the whelping box so she'll get used to it, but I think she's having a bit of trouble swinging her back legs over the entrance!!
  7. Ever heard of a Golden Labrador?...you know, the blonde ones ETA...correction, its usually golden labradore lol Oh, just like the Golden Retriever is actually two separate breeds which have been put together...you know the "Golden" labrador and the "any type of Retriever" that it's crossed with. ;) Have these people ever read a pedigree? Nope, stupid question really - they can barely read a cereal box! Get it right, the golden retriever is just a long haired labradore...Im guessing if they ever saw a flat coat retriever then they would just think they are the long haired variety of the other two colours Funny story (not), had a friend who told me he'd bought a golden retriever. He sent me a photo...... funny coloured GR. It was a liver flatcoat.
  8. the ankc allow this as long as they are not cross breeding ankc registered dogs Sadly, this is correct. If the cross breeding is happening with unregistered dogs, the ANKC don't want to know. Maybe email and play unsuspecting puppy buyer and see if the parents have papers? And forward this proof to their state body?
  9. Too hot outside to sit ringside and mark catalogue, just jotted breeds as I was packing up, BIG Pug (Open) (bred by an active DOLer YAY! ) RUBIG Malt (same as Sat ADI BIG) BABY Cav Minor Hava Puppy Cav Junior Peke Inter Pap Aust Bred L/C Chi ETA to ask Anyone got General Specials results pleeeeeeeze? Do you know who's the inter pap was?
  10. Dumbledore's name suits him to a T! Such a cute little scruffer!
  11. There are a few breeders listed on the DOL breeds list on the main part of the site.
  12. I just took a look at when this thread was started..... and holy jesus!
  13. Fingers crossed! Chihuahua (long) - due 13th whoohoo - its been a long wait for this girl, but ultrasound confirmed 4 possibly 5!! :D Congrats!! Portia's breeder said that there's a chance that because it's her first litter, she may go a bit early, which would make me January. But I think I'll stay in here anyway..... it's much too quiet!
  14. :D I have my contacts in and everything. Hoping it will still be on when I have baby puppies to socialise
  15. Just a shame that the dog who needs the training and socialisation is currently incapacitated at the moment. Will this training become a regular fixture?
  16. Hi there Has anyone contacted Wolf's Den lately? What is their response time generally like? I emailed them on Friday about some cut-to-size drybed and I haven't yet heard back. I will need it in 2 weeks time. Are there other online stockists of drybed I can go to, just in case I don't hear back from them soon?
  17. We have only had BOB so would love some competition for a Challenge. Me too actually.
  18. Ok, so here we have Portia's baby belly, with about 2 weeks to go. She's rolling onto her back every chance she gets.... except for when I'm wanting to take photos so apologies that they aren't very good.
  19. BOBs are blue and I think challenges are red.
  20. My mum's work is organising a 'shoe box' drive, for boxes to be put together for men, women, children and pets. I've made up a box for a dog with a collar, lead, small tins of food, schmackos, a brush, a ball and worming tablets.
  21. My idea at the moment is to keep pups until 10 weeks.
  22. I'm following the 8 and 12 week protocol for when my litter arrives.
  23. No flaming from me either. Dog owners in rural/farming areas should be aware that it is a risk they take for not ensuring their dogs are fully contained on their own property.
