Great work on collating this info Dxenion. Time to perhaps join Dogs NT or one of the obedience clubs if you haven't already dobesrock

How exactly is it unusual? Some people manage 3 dogs just fine, while some other people can barely manage one! I need to move in a few months and I had a couple of Palmerston suburbs on my list..... not anymore.
-
That particular council area often has dogs running loose. Not quite in pack situations as far as I'm aware. That's the next council area over, who do not have a registration process for dogs! (Litchfield)
-
I've had to apply for a 3 dog licence twice in the Darwin Council, there had never been an issue either time. I like the idea of reconsidering and hassling them, also it shouldn't be too difficult to get a move to a suburb under DCC. Good luck :D

Yes, we had a happy ending yesterday, a lucky young girl is getting Mikey as her 12th birthday present (with lots of help and support from Mum and Dad of course). And at his 'original' price too.

Vaccination Schedule For Show Puppies... Any Different?
Paptacular! replied to Merrirose's topic in General Dog Discussion
My pups had vaccs at 8 and 12 weeks. Their first show is 2 weeks after their 12 week vacc, so worked out nicely. One puppy I did take to the show a few days after his 12 week vacc to meet a family who are now going to take him home soon, but I didn't put him on the grass juuuuust in case. -
Waiting For A Puppy This Thread Is For You

Especially that one name Portia. -
I feel the same. I feel lucky that I'm not in the position to have to consider such a thing (paps are generally sweet natured) but if one of my dogs went so far as to kill another, I couldn't trust him/her again.

Great photo!! Really captured the moment!
-
Isn't today the final day possible to do anything though? How much later can it be left, really? Not trying to have a go, but I thought urgency was the key in this case.

There are currently 112 of us with so very fulfilling lives.... I think I will put my money on....... Afghan and Pointer (in either order).

Hurry up judges!

I'm hoping it gets 'hairier'..... good luck Hugo for Group 1!!
-
Yep, first show for May.

Stress can apparently be part of the cause like it is in humans, the vet told me. This was Portia's first litter also, but the pups were 10 weeks old by the time she was ill. She had previously been trying to escape the yard.
-
so how do you treat stomach ulcers. please. Portia is on 2 different medications for a month, she was also on bland Hills i/d prescription diet for about a week so as not to aggravate her stomach. She was low in one particular protein which *may* have contributed (but wasn't a certainty). A check about 2 weeks later via full blood test and that level was back to normal. Stress from being in whelp perhaps? Her first litter?
-
Stomach ulcer? Just a suggestion since a few weeks ago we discovered Portia has one after vomitting fresh blood.

I think everyone is so used to instantaneous, which I see as the issue here...... I mean, we have 'live reporters' feeding us results direct to this forum, previously photos have been made available as soon as the day after. Why wouldn't anyone want to wait for better quality? Not so long ago photos weren't able to uploaded..... you had to wait to see the printed version and if you were lucky, someone had a scanner! I see no issue with the photographer not making the photos available until after the completion of the show.... surely she has a life away from the show and photography and I'm all for exercising 'self care' under times of pressure.

I just read on Facebook that these leads are being offered as prizes at a show I'm entered for in May. Super excited!!
