I used to sell advantix when i owned my mobile business as i found people didn't seem to make an effort and go and buy it from vets etc. They liked it for the convenience I'm sure it's illegal to sell single treatments of products like Advantix though

http://www.pawzazzpetz.com.au/index.html can custom make

I used to charge $25 for a hydrobath and blow dry or $20 each for 2 or more dogs. This was with a mobile business and was in country NSW. ETA-this also included a good brush & furminator if required, nails clipped if needed, ear cleaned and cologne

One of my gsd was always underweight, the vet used to make comments about it whenever she had to go in. I changed her to Nutro Lamb & Rice and she has now put on weight,so much to the point i'm going to have to cut her back a little or maybe its just middle age spread like myself

Which Is The Best Hydrobath To Purchase?
4 Paws replied to Blue Fox 001's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I find the same thing with mine. Its ok with smaller dogs but if i wash my gsd the water from the rinse tank usually runs cold before i've finished.Just have the taps right behind your tank set up and turn them on to do the rinsing, that way you won't run out of water -
Just picked up chicken wings at Country Grocer at Unanderra(behind the Wollies)for $1.85 kg. Guess its for the week
-
Hi CBL, you can't beat South Coast Chickens for there carcasses, mince and i think they have necks .$6 for a box and they have around 40 + caracsses I got a couple of things delivered from the meat place that advertise on here.Brisket bones were quite good,10kg for $17 plus delivery. The roo tails were really large pieces though. They come to Wollongong every couple of weeks Oh,and i can give you some samples of some dry food to try if you like

Which Is The Best Hydrobath To Purchase?
4 Paws replied to Blue Fox 001's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
i have a hydrobaths Australia auto fill model.I own german shepherds and its fine size wise. If you have access to hot/cold taps you could always just go with the single tank and use the hydrobath for washing(add shampoo) and than turn on the taps with a length of hose connected with a nozzle to a warm temp and fresh rinse the dog -
I've taught my gsd's to come to a dog whistle which would be good a large block of land like you have. They respond straight away and i give a treat as soon as they get to the back door. They seem to respond quicker to the whistle than calling there name and a 'come' command

the Vasquez collars through www.pawzazzpetz.com.au can be made with the triangle chain like that as well,i have ordered one through them and they are ready in a day or so

i feed my lot Nutro Lamb and rice and its great for dogs with any skin problems try here http://naturalpetfoodsaustralia.com/

It may be ok to not restrain a dog in a salon set up where there are doors around closed but if you operate a mobile business it really is very important to have the dog restrained as a lot of the mobiles are open and have a ramp.My last trailer wasn't like that as it had a barn door at the rear so you coukd close off the bottom half but a lot aren't that lucky
-
There's no way i would have a clients dog unrestrained. If you have the correct length restraint, the dogs shouldn't even be able to get over the side of the bath to get hung.I make sure the dog has a restraint that only allows it a small amount of movement to make sure the over the side the bath episodes never happen

i have hooks on mine as well but it's the actual noose for putting around the dogs neck and clipping onto the clip i'm having trouble with i currently use these ones, they're the red adjustable noose pictured under Support and teethering section. They are located in the pic under the dogs on the grooming table http://www.wooferwares.com.au/dryers,table...upport%20tether they come in 3 sizes.Never had any trouble with the sm and md sizes, its just the large one that keeps breaking as some big dogs have a lot of strength and can easily give a big pull and snap, the clip breaks grrr. Its a shame they don't make them with a metal slider instead
-
Hi, i currently use adjustable grooming nooses from wooferwares but am finding with large unruly dogs they tend to give a big pull and the plastic clip part breaks and you can't fix them. The dog i did today actually chewed through it in about 5 seconds as well as snapping it. What do other people with a hydrobath or groomer use?I l love the design of the wooferware noose as its quickly adjusts but the plasic bit is too flimsy

take her to the vets and get her checked out first. I own a gsd who used to itch all the time!Used to drive me crazy so can only imagine how she felt. Was diagnaised as some type of allergy and skin yeast infectiona nd she was put on tablets. These helped a little but never fixed the problem. I've found since putting them on Nutro lamb & Rice and adding Blue Ribbon coat enhancer http://www.pawzazzpetz.com.au/gpage10.html it's stopped completely with no medication at all Its' an absolute relief, good luck

Best Dryer For An Aghan Hound
4 Paws replied to afghanhound's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi afghanhound and welcome I'm a big fan of Double K Airmax dryer.I purchsed one for my dog grooming business around 12 months ago but have since sold the business and just purchased another one. You won't beat them for value for money http://www.clipperworld.com.au/shop/index....p;productId=124 -
my lot are doing wonderful on Nutro Lamb and Rice. They do get a chicken carcass or brisket bone a few times a week as well.Small poos and no doggy odors anymore. One gsd used to itch like crazy on other foods but this has stopped since being primarily on nutro
-
Thanks Rom,would be interested in looking at it as well, does it have a buckle??
-
I have one trialling at the moment. The buckle adjustment is great as you get a quicker and better fit than a slide adjustment on some martingale collars. There is an adjustment to be done when you go from regular collar to the slip style martigale as you release the clip on the side to give you the slip collar than re adjust the buckle to the correct sizing,so no actual taking collar off, more a undoing of the buckle than moving it along and redoing up. I'm also looking into getting leather 1/2 check collars in stock shortly that have a buckle which should prove popular.I particuarly like the idea of collars having a buckle instead of a slide especially with long coated dogs as a slide adjustment tend to get caught up in the hair

Havd you tried any of the Nutro foods? One of my gsd used to scratch all the time, used to drive me mad so i can only imagine how she felt.,she used to have to be on medication from the vets Anyway, after a short time on Nutro Lamb & Rice she's stopped scratching ,no more medication and no longer smells.Befoe i could hydrobath her and the next day she smelt terrible.I've also been adding Blue Ribbon Coat Enhancer which has omega 3,9 & 9 to there food
-
my lot are on Nutro and just luv the stuff, coats are glowing in fact its been the only thing thats stopped one of my gsd from scratching and she no longer smells yeasty One of my girls used to be a very finicky eater and under weight,i'm now going to cut her back as noticed she's put on a bit of weight, nothing left in bowls at all anymore
-
Yes , but now that I think about It, Ziggy does this High pitched bark when ever he gets excited, enough to blow you're ear drums out Maybe I'll try a water pistol as well, they hate water, so will probably bring peace to the ears real quick hey Rottnbullies, you might need a bucket of water for yours, not just a water pistol

KMSS are just single speed compared to KM-2=2 speed. Not sure about the rpm speed on either one though sorry
