Just after information on obedience classes in Wollongong area my dogs are ok with basic obedience, just need it for socialisation really.Went and had a look at the Illawarra Dog Training today at JJ Kelly Park, wasn't too bad and I liked the time,3pm Sat but wanted to ask around about different options 1st. Wanting something that you can go to for as long as you want, more like a social outing not just a 6 week class type of thing Quite interested in finding out what methods they use, collars etc.I've also had a look at the schutzhund one but I don't have the time required to go to the training each week(it goes for hours each week)

what are you feeding her on? I have a client in Sydney who owns 2 westies who had constant itchy skin and after changing to Nutro Lamb and Rice the itching has cleared and they are very happy with the results. I'm sure the megaderm would be helping and would try and continue with some kind of omega oils till you get the malassezia under controll Good luck with everything

I've only come across Leerburg ones. I have one for sale if you can't find anything in Aust and are interested in this one

I've seen chicken feet in one of our local chicken places and wondered what the hell they'd be used for, yuck

nothing else has developed, just the sneezing so i guess it's not kennel cough just as Morgan said a sneezing thing going around. I did email the kennels and they said they foxie was doing a fair bit of barking so that's where the hoarsey barking come from

If you are going to change ,might pay to buy another small bag of the one you're feeding at the moment and gradually introduce the new food over a week or so -
i've purchased my dogs vitamins including vit c from http://www.callicoma.com.au/supplem1.htm

Did cross my mind when the foxie started barking funny he had been barking too much Did a google search on incubation period and came up with between 2-14 days so i guess kennel cough could be a possibility, will see what happens over the next few days but in the mean time will keep them at home just in case

I had my 3 dogs(2 x gsd and a foxie) in kennels over the long weekend for the 1st time, dropped them off Friday morning .I picked them up Monday afternoon and yesterday i noticed the foxie had avery horsey bark and than he was sort of sneezing but it probably sounded more like he was trying to dislodge something up his nose. Also noticed one the the shepherds was doing the snorting thing like the foxie today as well. Does this sound like the start of kennel cough?Should i stop walking them in case it is to stop it spreading and if so for how long?

to your fruit/veg mix add one of the veg oils such as soyobean or safflower oil for energy and more essential fatty acids and anti-oxidents(vit e) -some brewers yeast for vit b -some kelp for iodine(which is deficient in Aust solis) -a raw egg for extra protein, for choline and more essential fatty acids -some acid cider vinegar, for its acidity and other helpful properties -some yoghurt for the healthy bacteria Do not store this vegetable pulp.It must be fed fresh. It goes off quickly becomes oxidised)and loses much of it's nutritional value I suggest Dr Ian Billinghurst Give your dog a bone book.Let me know if you want me to send it to you to have a read

Anyone Ever Bathed A Cat In A Hydrobath?
4 Paws replied to 4 Paws's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
owner mentioned he had some sticky stuff on him and she said they do bath him sometimes as well.I did bath they're dog the other day. Mind you i have been asked if i'd do a guinea pig once as well!! -
Hi, i was asked this morning to bath a cat in the hydrobath but told the client that i thought the pressure and the motor noise would upset the cat and end in lots of scratching etc so not a good idea Anyone else ever done it.They said they've washed it before in the laundry tub but i feel the hydrobth would be a different experience.Told them to go try and buy a dry shampoo instead

I've used it previously externally on my dogs sore tail with good results.Haven't used it on the dogs internally but have myself taken it for sore throats.I'm sure it would be fine to try. Try Googling colloidal use in dogs,i'm sure i have done this before and found good information ETA-here's a few links http://www.colloidal-silver.com/animals.htm http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/health/collsilver.htm

Is the first ingredient dehydrated meat? If not once you get rid of water (during processing of the dry food) it stops being the first ingredient and falls way down the list. Vey True laffi. Here's a link that explains how some companies do it to make there product look good http://www.pawzazzpetz.com.au/gpage6.html

Has Anyone Got A Kings Dog Wash Trailer
4 Paws replied to charlie mouse's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I sold mine about 8 months ago but aren't they the ones from where you fill your storage tanks after the water goes through the hose??There's some kind of filter there i think, you unlock the little door at the front, where the spare tyre is and you should see a thicker section, thats the filter i think! Mine was a few years ols so maybe if you have a new one it could be different -
What Are Dolers Feeding Their Dogs
4 Paws replied to Baileys mum's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
At one stage i had a very fussy, underweight german shepherd who i resorted to handfeeding at times. I was introduced to Nutro Lamb and Rice and my gsd girl is now a great weight and no longer fusy, always finishing her meals.I add extras like chicken carcasses, chicken necks, brisket bones, sardines, eggs etc as well -
For those that use Fido's Free Itch Rinse I noticed the 500ml has $10 off at Petbarn at the moment. I personally love the Petway range and they don't need rinsing if you use the minimum amount. They also have Cotex which is a no rinse and they've recently released a Rinse Free formula shampoo.Only drawback is Petway are only available to Groomers generally
