  1. I found I had much they same issues with my lot until I introduced the triangle of temptation thats pinned at the top here. Now i get a lot more focus, not perfect but improved by heaps, especially at dinner times. There's no longer a dog thats focused on her bowl now,she knows to get it she has to look at me ,not the bowl Give it a go and good luck
  2. Hi, just wondering if anyone has used the Micro-TEK Pet Shampoo with success.I don't actually have a dog that requires this kind of treatment but do some washing of clients dogs so like to keep up to date with products http://www.petsonthepark.com.au/prod525.htm
  3. Where did you get this one from? I like to use a martingale for my two these days but mine don't have buckles and they are such a PITA to put on and take off that I usually just end up using flat collars only. http://www.pawzazzpetz.com.au/gpage13.html
  4. One of my gsd's used to have an itchy skin problem.Had her at vets and they said it could be an airbourne allergy and put her on medication. This controlled it slightly but it still continued. When i went back for some more tablets another vet commented it could be a yeast infection as gsd's are prone to it so sold me malaseb, once again the combination controlled it but never stopped it. I got onto Nutro Lamb and Rice and after about 2 moths they itchies stopped and she smelled better than ever.I combine this with a capsule a day of healthy paws capsules for skin/coat
  5. I use a leather matingale style collar with my gsd's,so a leather collar but has a part check chain running through as well.I've also tried the all fabric style martingale(like black dog) but get a better control with these ones
  6. Have discovered this new item in Australia.Heres a link to an overseas website as can't find any info in aust yet apart from it listed in a wholesale catalogue i get http://rocketteamsales.com/browseproducts/...WIK-CHANGE.html Looks very similar to a furminator but a lot cheaper and can be used on dirty hair where as the furminator has to be used on clean hair only. Also has other attachments which include a finish comb and a fluff and flea comb. There's also a Laube de-shedder spray Anyone else seen it or used it yet??Not sure where you'd buy it retail just yet as i enquired with the wholesaler and they have not sold any yet to get feedback
  7. Don't know much about Ridgebacks but is 42kg's the normal weight ? I own german shepherds and they're only roughly around the 30kg mark and on about 2 - 2/12 cups Nutro plus a brisket bone,or a couple of chicken necks etc

  14. Hi, I am going to start attending some obedience classes at a local club here. One of my gsd's has some dog aggression which i have seen k9 force and been working on it and feel we're ready to go out into the big wide world to test our progress. I mentioned in my email to them that she has some dog aggression issues and they said she would have to be muzzled till she is approved by the chief instructor as being non aggressive to other dogs. Just wondering what kind of muzzle would be suitable as obviously I'm hoping it will only be a short term thing so don't want to spend a fortune on thanks
