  1. hey Ben, went and had a look at the one at JJ Kelly Park and than went to the South Coast Dog Training one at Dapto showground one.Much preferred the Dapto one and joined about 6 weeks ago.Am loving it although it's getting harder to get out of bed on a Sat and get there by 8.30am It's cheaper to join the Dapto one as you don't get a collar and lead like you do at JJ Kelly but everyone usually already has them and lessons are cheaper each week as well Let me know if you are going to try them out and I'll look out for you.1st 2 classes are free Hi, yeah I think a lot of they check out both end up choosing Dapto. I don't have my car on the road at the moment, I usually get to borrow my girlfriends so as soon as I can I'll let you know and say gday. Oh and also do I just turn up at 8.30 and sign up then or do I need to call up first? Cheers Ben and Lucy (the dog) just turn up with dogs immunisation record and some treats.I'm pretty sure they hold the meet and greet (introduction class)every week but here's there website in case you'd like to email them to confirm http://www.scdtc.org/
  2. not a great deal at the wharehouse either and they are not filling any orders. Was no mention about containers on the docks though
  3. I've reduced the amount for my shepherds compared to Nutro, probably by 1/2 cup at the moment and they're still holding there weight nicely
  4. I received an email from the importer this morning notifiying that Nutro will be unavailable immediately till furthur notice The manufacturer being unable to meet the import requirements of the Aust Quarantine Inspection Service. They require the product to be cooked at a higher temperature and pressure than the company would consider nutritionally acceptable

  6. Did you mix it with his previous food and gradually increase the Orijen?
  7. You'll find when you slide the top section across(the seperate piece) ,if it has no grip and slides across really smoothly it needs sharpening i think it's still $10 plus post
  8. now i had one do this and i thik it had something to do with tension or something Why don't you PM nicestman77 on here,he's great with blades and might be able help you out
  9. thanks for that hint ellz, might give it a try tomorrow when I can air the house out easily. How long should it take in the microwave and at what power level?
  10. hell yes, kids are being a pain LOL Thought it may smell, maybe ditch that idea than
  11. Just got some beef liver and wondering how to go about drying it in the oven to use as treats? how thick do i cut it and how long and what temp?? Thanks
  12. Congratulations Jaybeece, did you have to muzzle your dog when at obedience classes to start with? I'm just going to start with one of my girls who's dog aggressive and while I have made heaps of progress after seeing K9 Force I'm a bit worried about starting as I can't obviously use the tools I've been using on her(prong,e-collar) and concerned she may learn to be aggressive again. The instructor said that she'd have to wear a muzzle till she's been passed by the chief instructor as not being a risk to other dogs but a muzzle is only going to protect other dogs ,not help me control her.I have been reading about Hushers helping with aggression and contemplating using one as well
  13. I changed my lot over about 4 weeks ago. They really like the food and it smells really fresh as well. There shedding seems to have decreased lots as well.Poos have stayed nice and small(were on nutro)Coat condition is really good as well My girl who used to scratch all the time until I got her onto Nutro has not started again which I was watching very closely.I'm really just trialing the Orijen as I sell it and like to use all my products on my dogs so I can give honest opinions to customers.
  14. I'd suggest a shedding blade(looks like a fish scaler)a zoom groom and a furminator or a Laube Quik-change de-shedder(just like a furminator)
  15. Hey Colin! Is this for your existing clients too, or just new ones? I need to send you some more stuff next week........... Cheers Dru I think it's as long as you have a DOL VIP card http://www.dogzonline.com.au/vip/discounts.asp?cat=26 I keep forgetting about using my card, damm
  16. Agree,Petway range and Groomers Edge range
  17. thanks for the couple of suggestions. When going for a walk i tend to throw in the backs where i suddenly run backwards and reel her in to the front and she has no problems there, even if i don't rell the lead in she still comes up close and sits at the front.Once we get home I also put her in a sit and leave her down stairs and go up the stairs and than cal her and she always sits in front than as well. Just seems to be on a long distance off leash she will do it. Will go back to basics and start with short realls and lenghten and see how we go Thnaks again
  18. I have trained my german shepherd when doing a long distance recall that she comes on my right ,around the back and than sits on my left Have just stared going to obedience classes with my other girl and they train to come to the front. My girl I'm taking to classes at the moment hadn't had a great deal of training so has picked up the front ending fine but my other girl who i've spent a lot of time training and have not yet started taking to classes yet is still doing the ending at my left even though I'm trying to lure her with treats as she get close to me to sit at the front but no luck yet Anyone have any ideas how to change the outcome here?
  19. Probably was me What lines of there's have you used and what did you think of them?
  20. Blue Ribbon Coat Enhancer and Healthy Paws Skin Supplement work great
  21. I have been using Petway products for some time as I used to operate a dog wash business and have found all the products to be excellent. They also have a Cotex product which is designed to be left on as well Product is actually called Water Saver Rinse Free Shampoo
  22. only a fairly new product so not on there website yet
  23. Does say on the bottle -Formulated with cleansing extracts from renewable vegetable crop plants with excellent skin compatibility. No Sulphate Detergents It certainly is runnier than a shampoo, but not as runny as the Fido's rinses would be interesting to know if people using the Fido's rinses longterm ever have any problems.I know a lot of people with single tank hydrobaths tend to use the rinses
  24. I'm not sure either why it's called a shampoo instead of a a rinse.I guess really its the same as using the Fido's free itch rinse or the Fido's herbal rinse as those ones don't get rinsed either Will be ok for a dog thats not really dirty, just needs a freshen up but it does give you the option of rinsing as well so ok for dirty dogs as well in that case Will let you know how it goes.
  25. One of my german shepherds used to have yeast infection.I too bathed her in malaseb but it didn't really help that much and she used to smell quite soon after her bath as well. I changed her diet to Nutro Lamb and Rice and after about 6-8 weeks she stopped scratching I truley believe the change in diet did it for her as well as adding Healthy Paws skin supplement
