  1. This has not affected ANY stock in Australia so rest assured you won't find this problem here
  2. Yes,furminators work well and also a shedding blade on your cattle x should do the trick
  3. usually a little bit of sards wonder soap rinsed than followed by shampoo usually does the trick
  4. I had an enquiry from a customer with a similar question about increasing the amount of coat with Blue Ribbon Coat Enhancer.I emailed the manufacturer and got this answer- Yes it would but it would take time! I would suggest that the dog would need to be on it at least 3 to 4 months - maximum benefits would come after a malt, getting rid of alot of the ' old coat ' it would need to be combined with a premium diet.
  5. I've actually cut my shepherds back a fait bit, probably by about 3/4 cup a day compared to the Nutro so if you worked it out over a bag it would work out much the same $ wise. One of my girls coat has softened up a fair bit too but I have been adding Healthy Paws Skin supplement as well
  6. I'm in the same boat.used to feed Nutro lamb and rice but I started selling Orijen so thought I'd trial it.Dogs love it,less shedding than on Nutro and smells really fresh. It's the Adult one I sold a bag to a guy who used to use DVP,he said while changing over to Orijen (mixing the 2 )his dogs picked the orijen out and ate it and left the DVP behind
  7. OK,stop laughing ,here's a pic of a g-whizzer
  8. So glad I'm not the only one :D Also discovered one called a beef whizzer
  9. I use Healthy Paws Skin Supplement It's a Nutritional supplementation of fatty acids can help by restoring the skin and coat to a healthier state which in turn will lead to less dandruff, coat shedding and dryness. Fatty acids can be sourced from plants, animals and fish. The most bioavailable source is found in fish and fish oil, however the extraction process can degrade the fatty acids. Healthy Paws capsules are produced from fish oil that is known to retain adequate fatty acid levels after processing and are packaged as soft gel capsules for easy digestibility. One or two capsules a day will supplement your dogs diet and will help give a gloss to the coat and maintain a healthier skin. These capsules contain the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA. Fatty acids are easily destroyed by the processing of commercial dog foods and deficiencies lead to dandruff and dry coat, which in turn can predispose to the 'itchy dog' syndrome.
  10. Was just placing an order from a wholesaler for some treats I carry and noticed they had listed an item called G-whizzers It got the better of me and I had to email and ask what they were, well it turns out they're dried Goat penis Anyone ever tried this kind of treat?Apparently they're very easy on the dogs stomachs so good for ones with tummy troubles

  17. I like to wash blades in a mix of 90% kero and 10% motor oil. Can also dip the tips of the blades in the mix when clipping to clean and cool blade, than wipe and oil
  18. Hi Ben, check out South Coast Chicken at 136 Church St Wollongong. You can get a box of chicken carcass(about 30+) for $7 and a box of chicken mice for $7.(about the size of a banana box) Bush's meats have chicken necks for $1.99kg as well I feed Orijen and add a carcass or a couple of necks to there food each day. There's also www.justfood4dogs.com.au that deliver here every few weeks but you have to have enough freezer space as it noramlly comes in 10kg packs

  20. i think there's a Kennel cub out there.May be worth trying to contact them to check or at a vets?? It's a bugger living in a country town,i know I'm originally from Dubbo and there's no clubs that do obedience on a weekly basis. Good Luck
  21. yeah i'll see how I can go training her first though, I don't really have much room to put one in the house. What size is the create, where did you get it and how much? Cheers Ben cheapest online like ebay. Here's one similar to mine http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LARGE-36-COLLAPSIBL...1QQcmdZViewItem You may like to go the next size up depending on her size.Once she's crate trained though you can change to one of these which i use as well.I also use this one in the car http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LARGE-SOFT-DOG-CRAT...1QQcmdZViewItem Easy to move around.Just need to make sure she's fully crate trained otherwise they can shred the door pretty easily best thing i ever did was crate train my lot
  22. what about a crate? We're renting as well so the dogs aren't supposed to be inside but i let them in but them must go in their crates.I don't always shut the door but they know that if they wonder around they go outside
