  9. Anyone even tried the Robert McDowell Nervous Rehabilitation Tonic http://www.herbal-treatments.com/dog_nervo...bilitation.html I have a fear aggressive dog who gets very anxious around other dogs (at obedience training)and can't focus as well as she can normally, she's very busy looking around and being quite skitish sometimes and I know her obedience can be great, infact we went up a level each week so she can do everything quite well if she's away from other dogs. I have tried rescue remedy formulas, nerve tonics etc as well but when i emailed Robert McDowell they recommended this formula.Said it may take 12 weeks to get the full benefit but will start seeing results in about 4

Anyone else read or saw the dvd and have any thoughts on it,did you get anything out of it to help with your reactive dog
  13. bag quotes for that size with a less active dog 2 1/2 cups a day while an active dog gets 3 3/4 cups. I'm feeding my 2 gsd's about 1 3/4 cups plus a chicken wing or a couple of necks etc a day and they're looking great

  16. I have posted in my other thread about training dvd's for aggressve dogs but in case people don't go in there i was looking for some opinions on a dvd i've found. Its called Top Dog by Dr Graham Adams ,just curious if anyone has heard of this guy,dvd goes for under an hour and is $45 so not cheap and don't want to waste my money from the reply about the dvd- The DVD does not suggest any harsh methods but rather teaches the owners how to gain control; a big problem with fear aggression is that the dog has taken on more responsibility than it can handle and requires and assertive, confident leader who can take control and take the pressure off the dog. Topics include: Aggression Miscommunication Recognising the signs Correction strategies Feeding the dog The resting place Dealing with bossy demands Calling the dog Walking the dog Playing games Managing aggression Visitors Mounting Children and dogs Controlled assertiveness. The DVD runs for close to an hour.

  18. Thankyou for the suggestions everyone.I'm not sure if they have previously done the drop or sit on recall before as we've only been in that level for a couple of months but i'm gathering form the rest of the dogs in the class being unable to do it too that it was just something that the instructor threw in
  19. GreatBigPuppy, where abouts are you located? The senior is out of stock in Aust.Expected to arrive tomorrow but may take a couple of weeks to get through customs
  20. just wondering the best method to go about gettting a dog to add either a drop or sit mid recall. The instructor at obedience got us to try yesterday at training,no dogs in level 3 achieved it but i was wondering if you give a command you can't enfore what will happen
