  1. I personally use a 6FT leather for my gsd's.You could always go middle and get a 5ft which would probably be the shortest i'd go for a large dog
  2. We won't be able to make it this morning. Have to take the little foxy that is in the garage to the vets to scan for a chip. now why didn't I think of that excuse:laugh: It's not my patch blown down your way is it? I'm trying to think of something as to why we can't go,so tired this morning
  3. well, gave them to the gsd's for tea.The one who will eat anything turnd her nose up at it and just sat beside the bowl waiting for something else while the fussy one didn't know what to do with it.Picked it up and carried it around for a while till she eventually started eating it,was a slow progress and not sure if she finsihed it or not as it got dark Am a bit dissapointed as I thought they'd polish them off in no time.thank god I didn't buy more
  4. sooks There's hardly anyone there when its cold, much better for training
  5. yep,the one at Dapto, trying to get Valby out of bed early enough to join me there.CBL stated last week too You can come any time, around 8.30am,just need current vac cert.First 2 lessons are free than $3 week.Membership is cheaper than at the JJ Kelly park one as well as you don't get a lead an collar let me know if you'll be coming. Not as big as the other one but very friendly
  6. is it ok to give dogs(gsd's) salmon heads? Just brought a couple and didn't think about it till i got home.I've given them raw sardines and the guy at the fish market said he gives his mackarel no problems. When I asked for the 2 he asked was I making soup :p cause I can't stand fish but when i said it was for the dogs he just asked had i tried mackeral or sardines, didn't say not to feed them the heads so I'm presuming its ok
  7. Great to hear it went down well So are you getting out of bed early for training tomorrow :p
  8. The distributor is located in Sydney,PM me if you'd like details
  9. thankyou for your thoughts.I'm going to try it with one of my gsd's.I've had her for a couple of years now (got her as an older dog)but she is fear reactive towards other dogs and when inside if the kids happen to raise there voice she gets up and heads for the door.I really don't think we have any leadership issues happening, especailly as i own 2 other dogs and they have no problems like her so think it may help build the bond between us Fingers crossed anyway
  10. I add a Healthy Paws Skin and coat capsule a day for my lot, specifically designed by as vet for dogs

  14. Hi,have seen a few sites and dvd's that recommend teethering your dog to you for a certain time while inside, especially when you 1st get a dog. Just wondering if anyone has done it and if so what benefits did you find it had?
  15. I think the teeth size is the same on all sizes,it's just the width of the blade thats different

  19. just found this information when i was looking for info regarding ttouch, its a similar set up to that double leash in that thread but only using one leash, called a ttouch balnce leash, looks like it works much the same way http://www.berigorafarm.com.au/TTouch%20balance%20leash.pdf Might explain why it works
  20. whats your thoughts poocow, are you considering one?Would love to hear from someone who's actually got one
  21. much quicker to click,i have some regular blackdog ones and have them around my wrist but can be a pain to get hold of
  22. thanks for your thoughts, its something I'm considering but at $90 for one for a gsd you want to get feedback first before you spend that money
  23. sorry about the bad photography skills, was trying to take them with my left hand anyway, the elastic goes on your finger of choice, its a little firm but may stretch a little. There are a couple of screws at the bottom so i'm guessig you could open it up amnd replace the elastic should it stretch too much from this seller http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-CLICKER-with-st...1QQcmdZViewItem
  24. I'll have to look into it a bit further.I own a fear reactive dog who is very anxious around other dogs at training. Was physically shaking like a leaf the 1st day at training.Has improved but still very anxious
