  1. sigzephyr, just letting you know that there is no recall on the dog food as it has tested fine so unless its actually still unopened you won't get a refund, just thought I'd save you a trip if it's opened They are no longer stocking the dog food in Australia. I had about half a 13 kg bag left and they are going to refund my money. I dropped it off to them today. Wow,what shop was it?Maybe they don't know there's no refunds .It will be out of there own pocket as there is defiantly no recall or refunds on the dog food.Thats great customer PR than

  4. OMG,I just had to report back I receive the tug it starter today and loaded it up with 2 frankfurts.Just got my girl who has never shown any interest in tuging before and after about 30 seconds actually started tugging it and really got into it.Couldn't wipe the smile off my face. After she had a really strong tug on it I thought for sure it would have a hole in it but it's fine as she really had her teeth latched on.The food comes out really good(just watch your self get covered in the squished contents) So overall a great product I'd recommend
  5. I've given them to my foxie no problems. They look halarious running around with a chicken foot hanging out their mouth and great for chasing the kids around the house before you give them to the dogs
  6. You may get a refund on unopened dog food only as there in no recall on the dog food, just no longer selling it

  8. sometimes it can be the tensioning that causes this.Contact the person who sharpens your blades as they may be able to help
  9. I have posted the official notice from Champion in this thread, not just out of a paper where sometimes they don't include everything http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=152392
  10. Yep,I reliase about TOT but did that as was doing obedience and didn't really have intentions of doing agility. Do you think an external target would really help?Any tips on it Kavik?
  11. Thanks for the suggestions Will work with the clicker and see how we progress.Unfortuately all 3 of my dogs have progressed really fast with obedience so its hard when we hit something like this that does not come naturally
  12. I only hand feed LOL (totally forgot how important that part is) I've done TOT with her She just doesn't get excited about anything really. My other 2 (gsd and foxie)are bouncing off the walls when the teats come out but not Kali
  13. Yes, be patient. Your dog has to unlearn some behaviour and relearn others. If she's not clicker trained, I'd be making that a priority. How does she feel about non-food rewards eg. a ball or toy? I did start charging the clicker today as she is not clicker trained but have used it with my other girl so will try it again this afternoon She's not toy motivated either,is happy with a pat or a bit of verbal praise. Can be very frustrating training a dog who can take or leave a treat/toy
  14. Just started one of my gsd's at agility on wednesday night and I find I'm having a couple of problems already. We attend obedience normally and she's in level 4 which is the trialling class although we won't be trialling but I'm trying to teach her "touch"but she's totally focuced on my face, not worried about the hand and also having trouble working her on the right hand side as she keeps wanting to go to the regular left side She not particuarly food motivated either so when she has done a touch she's not all that excited to get a reward I've taught my other gsd touch previously but she's very food motivated so was easy to get to do it and get the focus off me and onto my hand Any suggestions??
  15. The food is coming out through the mesh. I actually think it's better when the dog can bite/chew on it and not a lot of food is coming out (that's why it really matters what you put in). Otherwise the dog just starts eating and doesn't want to tug anymore. Thanks for clearing that up,so chunks of things like devon, sausages, frankfurts would be ok?
  16. Thankyou for your feedback, just a question, does the food come out the end they're tugging on or through the sides, totally confused. I've just ordered one so hopefully we'll get some results
  17. All my dogs are quite reluctant to tug and just came across this item called a tug it starter http://www.agilityclick.com/prod176.htm Anyone tried it at all?Quite keen to get them tugging as have just started one at Agility and the foxie will be doing flyball next year
  18. Hi and welcome. I own 2 german shepherds and they are doing extremly well on Orjen food,no grains at all with a bit of raw-chicken carcass, brisket bones etc
  19. I've found kangaroo sausages, chicken breast boiled, sausages(chicken and beef),cheese, cabanossi, frankfurts and devon or chicken rolls the easiest. I generally watch out for items reduced to clear ,cook if required and cut up and freeze. Liverwurst goes down a treat as well.I usually find a small jar/container and give a few licks as a reward
  20. I've brought from these guys once before and they were a pain in the bum to deal with, delivery was very slow and I had to ring them a few times beofre it was sent
  21. I also own a fox terrier and have just started taking him to obedience after putting my 2 german shepherds through.I think one thing that has helped me with my foxies focus is the triangle of temtation programme. He is quite good at focus now compared to what he was like before starting this programme
  22. there is a Halti Harness but I believe it is now discontinued In Aust http://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/product.ph...&bestseller
  23. I've tried the Harmony Harness and found it quite good if you have the lead attached to the ring at the front of the harness ETA-I just had a look at some of those harness's,that last one I walk my dog looks a contraption and a half
  24. It does say on the info sheet that it should be used by professionals only who understand dog behaviours such as vets, trainers and groomers although on overseas websites it looks like you can just purchase online
  25. Sounds Good, can you keep us updated as to when it will start exactly or will it be on there website?.Just had a look but couldn't see anything about it yet
