  1. Nope, just had way too much to do You? Nope I didn't go either :D . You missed a very good night
  2. I have very talented escape artists in the form of Belgian Shepherds. I have had builit a special enclosure that is escape proof, it was well worth the expense and the effort to know that the escape artists [2 out of 5] are safe.
  3. If this is your first show puppy then I am quite surprised that the breeder is letting you choose it for yourself. I hope that the breeder is going to help and advise you:) I must admit that I never let me puppy buyers choose their puppy. I try very hard to match the right puppy to the right owner and have had to tell puppy buyers that sadly I did not have a suitable puppy for them - not that they werent good homes. But I did have a puppy that suited their situation. They did at least appreciate my honesty. But I do wish you the very best of luck with your new puppy:) I think it is the most exciting and slightly scary time bringing a new puppy home - just remember to keep your shoes locked up <vbg> Regards
  4. I have 4 adults and 1 13 week old puppy - the adults range in ages from 14.5 yrs down to 3 yrs. They are all left at home together and I just walk out the door and leave them. They are all still alive and seemingly unmolested when I get home again. My house has been a multiple dog home for over 14 years now.
  5. I have flown adults and puppies for many years and never had a problem. I recently sent a 10 week old Belgian Shepherd Puppy to Melbourne [from Perth] and she arrived safe and sound with no problems whatsoever. She flew QANTAS and was booked with Jetpets who are excellent to deal with.
  6. [Thanks, she's having the hip/elbow/eye tests done later this month .. as stated by the breeder and will show me the results. I've heard some stories already about breeders altering health papers as Belgians are known to have Epilepsy .. so they alter papers to show them as seizure free .. when they actually aren't. So it's making my search a little more diffucult But lots of fun!! You can't change papers to show a dog is seizure free as there are no DNA tests to record a Belgian being seizure free. Breeders/owners would just tell lies about it. If a BSD is going to manifest epilepsy it will generally happen by 4 years of age. If a bitch is from known epilepsy lines, it would be recommended she not be bred from under the age of 4 Cindy
