  1. K9: well.... Come on then Mr Smarty Pants, see you in the photo thread.
  2. Thanks Erny and Steve for a weekend full of great info. :D I love listening to someone explaining dog behaviours and how to go about correcting the ones that are a problem. It will take me a while to file everything in my head, I've got bits and pieces popping up in my mind all of the time. And of course it's always good to meet DOL people and their beautiful dogs. :D It only took me 2 hours to get home which was great compared to nearly 4 hours to get there through traffic on Friday but I was buggered and it wasn't easy getting up and moving this morning. I'll post a few photos in the photo thread soon. They're not too good because of the lighting (I can only use auto). Erny I've changed my user name for a little while so that you know who I am.
  3. Thanks Belinda. I hope Todd's the same. See you tomorrow.
  4. I saw an add for this little gadget. Does anyone use one of these. http://www.doog.com.au/product.htm
  5. OK, now you're making me feel bad about leaving Todd in the car overnight. If it seems to bother him too much I'll sleep in the car with him on Saturday night. At least if I have a room you can use it for breakfast etc.
  6. petmezz - I'd offer you a lift too but I have no idea when I'll be able to leave here. I've booked a room at Kingston Lodge (unless something better comes up) so I'll be able to give you a lift to KCC Park and back if you'd like. ETA - Erny do you know how cold it will be where we're doing the workshop? It's supposed to be a miserable weekend weather wise.
  7. I'll be there for the 3 days. I'm not sure what time I'll get there on Friday night though.
  8. I won't be there so can someone take some photos for me? Have a great day everyone. ETA Clover, Is Clover running this weekend?
  9. Scoota looks brilliant and I agree with Seita, it's great to see dogs enjoying themselves. Congratulations.
  10. Oh goody, thanks for the photos BC4ME. That Toller is pretty cute. I haven't heard of them before but I'll post a link to this thread in the Toller thread and maybe some will know them. Mrs D Jarrah is a beautiful looking dog. I've always had a soft spot for Kelpies. Is anything like this held in Melbourne??

    Asher

I'm so sorry to hear about Asher. It just doesn't seem fair. RIP Asher.
  12. Excellent Reddii. Thanks for the videos.
  13. Congratulations. 4th place sounds pretty good to me. What bit Jarrah? bordacollies4me - Congratulations to you too. It sounds as though you you had a busy weekend.
  14. Harminee these are beautiful. Thanks so much for offering to do them for us.
  15. Well tell Tash I think River is beautiful.
  16. Great Can we please have lots of videos and photos of some of the events? Best of luck MrsD. Bugger about the agility, fingers crossed for you.
  17. That's great Ptolomy, I loved watching the 2 of you. Thanks for posting the link. Blaize is gorgeous. BTW Is River a Cav x Toller?
  18. Yeh bloody Moses running too fast. My captain came up to me and said Moses is running 4.7's, why didn't you get your dog from the same breeder. He is from the same breeder. Todd just doesn't like to overdo things. The dogs all ran really well, I think they were enjoying the cooler weather. Welcome back to Bear, Jamaica and Flite. My highlight of the weekend was Teka running so well. She spent the first 18 months of her life learning and doing nothing and her present owner took her on as a rescue. Well, she's still with Wendy and she won't be going anywhere now. We wondered if she'd ever manage to do a full run because she'd always have to and say "Hi" to anyone around, including the box loader. She'll never be fast but she's really enjoying herself especially when we all cheer for her when she comes back with the ball. If you ever see her running give her a cheer and take a look at how happy she looks. . Congratulations to Wendy for getting her to where she's at. I've got a couple of photos from the weekend which I'll put in the photo thread.
  19. Oh goody I hope that helps Todd too. :D Hey Natasha you're going to miss us aren't you? I'll try to take some photos for you, that's if the batteries in the camera behave.
  20. I'll be there of course. I can't miss the opportunity of going to a comp so close to home. I hope the weather behaves its self. You just never know what it's going to do in Ballarat, fingers crossed it's ok. Sparty I can't imagine Bodie in anything other than pink. That colour is quite flattering on him.
  21. Years ago my ex partner had an English Pointer with what looks like the same thing. He seemed to be allergic to loads of things. The back yard ended up being dirt (4 dogs) so there wasn't a problem with vegetation. We only ever used cotton bedding, just in case the woolen blankets irritated him and we went through challenging his diet. At that time he was only 18 mths old. He lived until he was about 13 and had skin problems his entire life. He was such a handsome, lovable boy and it was heart breaking not being able to help him in some way. I always used to say he wasn't designed for the climate in Sydney, but who knows, he could have been just as bad in a cooler place. The only thing I might have done differently, but hadn't heard much about back then, would be looking into vaccinations re. immune systems and possibly feeding a diet to assist his immune system. I hope you have some success and I'd love to know how things go.
  22. Oh bugger feralpup, that's not good news. Teka and Todd said hello to Darcy a couple of weeks ago and we talked about KC, but they haven't had any sign of it. It's been going around flyball circles recently, has it been around the agility dogs too?
