Hi Harminee, When things are up and running again can you please do something nice for a friend of mine. This is Tess. She lived until she was 16.

I know they're going to question the Hep. I read in something or other from Dr Dodds that if there's immunity for 2 things, there's no point testing for others. Considering my dogs have been vaccinated for all 3 for their entire lives I couldn't see the point doing it but how do I explain that to my club when they're not entirely convinced about the whole thing. If they don't accept my results I'll look for another club to join but I might come up against the same problem.
-
They could but I'm not sure how to get around not having Hep done. I'm hoping to find something to help with that.

I'm looking for some help re documentation. I've had my 2 tested (both 1:80 fro Parvo and Dist). I now have to give my vet a letter to sign so I can give it to my club. I only had them checked for P and D and not for Hep. Does anyone have a sample letter I could use that would satisfy the committee?

Hard choice -
I've met Bundy and he's a big red smoocher. There's a fairly long break from flyball after this weekend so maybe you could rest your flyball dogs and work on Bundy?

I couldn't care what it's called but it's a fantastic example of someone who understands how to develope a great relationalship with their dog. The dog knows what's expected of it and who's calling the shots and is working accordingly. Great clip TD, thanks.

Hell yeh. I'm probably way out of my depth being involved in this discussion but here's my opinion on a couple of things. I add to these and change them often. I have my 2 Tollers and one of them competes in flyball. The dog which competes has always been easy to train as long as you know what motivates him. He won't do anything unless there's something in it for him (food, game). I didn't get my other Toller until she was 5 years old and she'd had absolutely no training. She's quite different in that, although she works well for food, she likes to please as well. She has fantastic drive and I can trust her with any other dog(small or young pups) but when it comes to cats, birds, lizards, rabbits or any other critter that moves, she's more than happy to dispose of them. When we brought our 9 week old kitten home our male was scared of it and our bitch wanted to kill it. It took a couple of weeks of VERY careful supervision and introductions and now there's no problem at all but she'd love to kill any other cat. Todd competes in flyball for the love of retrieving and his treat at the end. It's all a big game and if something nearby looks more interesting, he's gone. I also run a Kelpie for someone in flyball and they are so different. The Kelpie runs because that's his job and he's very serious about it. He likes his food but there's no need to use it and he runs his little heart out because that's his purpose in life and would never leave his post. BTW Kelpie is fast and Toller is a cruiser (also older).

Can you take Todd on too??? I'm a crappy handler and would love to see him working with someone who knew what thay were doing. -
Oh goody, I'll have a couple of treats ready for her. I haven't seen her for ages.

Ballarat's xmas flyball comp is on this Saturday and I was wondering who would be coming from here? Some of us have made some yummy treats for all of the dogs competing (all natural and healthy of course) and there's also a prize for the best decorated gazebo. We've got a couple of Cool Coats to raffle off too. (I want one ) If you're not competing come along and have a glass of punch while you're watching the crazy dogs.

;) Congratulations to Clover and Elvis (he's a beautiful boy) for your Onyx title. That's fantastic. Did Wally get his too? I was only there on Saturday and although the day started out a bit rocky (or muddy - ask Sparty) I had a great time. Great photos Clover - thanks. -

I'll be there on Saturday but can't make it on Sunday unfortunately. I'll be running Todd and Zac the mad Kelpie. Clover, are you bringing Clover with you? I love seeing the old girl. -
Yeh I'll be at Frankston with bells on. Sparty you'd better not get lost if you're navigating and I'm driving.

I can't go unfortunately. Have a great weekend.

Congratulations again to everyone who competed. I think you're all great. The Nationals wouldn't be in NZ next year would they??? You'd think the Australian Agility Champs would be held here. -

Hooray for Tricia and Princess Pippi. There's so many names to look through on the lists, it's good to have someone passing infor on about individual dogs we know. -

Hey Ptolomy, can you ask you "resources" how the Ballarat dogs are going? The WA dogs sound as though they're kicking butt. Great news for you guys. It was a dry day in Vic today so hopefully the grounds have dried out well. Fingers crossed for the next 2 days. -
