  1. I love the dog wave. It looks so good.
  2. I'd love to come if there's nothing else on.
  3. We've got 2 really nice ferns under cover and they cop quite a hiding when it's wet. Can't blame the dogs really, I'd rather toilet under cover.
  4. Clover - That's where I took Todd too and we enjoyed it. They run classes for all levels and ages I think.
  5. I know exactly where they'll be moving to. ;)
  6. Hey my sisters horse came through our front door more than once to try to get his feed which was out the back. Your pup will feel secure with you when it's little and when it's big it will pay you back by protecting you. Good luck
  7. My dogs have always slept inside because that's just the way we do it but a few years ago I got a real fright and would never have them outside now. In a suburb not too far from here there was some guy who crept into someone's house and sexually assaulted two little girls in their beds. Their parents door was open and they slept right through it. He always carried a candle and had been into a few houses but luckily was caught when, I think, he was about to assault someone else. About two months before this our old dog had died and I felt so vulnerable. For the first time in my life I locked everything before going to bed and even then I didn't feel safe. Now I've got the 2 dogs here and feel perfectly safe again. They wouldn't hurt anyone but they would make plenty of noise. Todd, in particular, patrols the house at night and checks each of the bedrooms to see who is where.
  8. My thoughts exactly. Maybe you should start a new topic.
  9. Elvis my dear I'm so pleased for you but you could have held off just a little longer.
  10. Go Bodie go. He was a good boy all day as usual. Did I manage to take those photos? Ok you Western Weiners look out in Geelong. We were only tricking you today and let you win.
  11. Hey that's a bit cheeky. What's this about Ray, he's our boxloader?
  12. Ha ha I just saw the running order. Sparty you can cheer on the Weiners if we're winning.
  13. We're going to kick buttock Weiners. Should be fun.
  14. Bodie Bright eyes and then Maggie the flyball queen.
  15. Congratulations to you both. Go Sparty go. Ballarat turned on a cold day for poor Sparty but he came through with the goods. I've got a couple (and some more) from today. First one Sparty doing his drop stay and next to him is another favourite of mine Henry. Second a big hug from mum and third Sparty gets his reward (chicken neck - slow eater Jen) Bodie was also on in the morning but didn't get a pass unfortunately. The fourth photo is of Bodie (left) and Sparty (right) and the last one is of Jenny carting away all of her prizes in her nanny trolley.
  16. Bugger the horse. I've seen that before. VOTE 1 JOSH I've got it Rhi. I'll get it to you somehow. I haven't watched it yet.
  17. Hi Kavik I also went to my first tracking session with one of my dogs on Sunday. I don't know much about it and am just doing it for a bit of fun but this is how we went about it. I had to leave the dog in the car while I laid the track. I used socks and this was folded over a small piece of food. Then they said to take only 3 steps and lay a piece of food and another 3 and sock with food. I'm not sure how far we went but I used 4 socks and sometimes 2 bits of food between. Probably no more that 15 meters. At the end I had to put down her special treat. The only thing I could find at home was a can of salmon which I opened and emptied onto the ground. God she hated that. I then had to walk over the same track back to the start. I got her out of the car and took her to a few meters before the start and put her harness on. They said to use any command you wanted to the most common I think is "track". Lilli is a real pig so was more than happy to put her nose to the ground sniff out the treats. Beginners only go once a fortnight and I was told to lay the same simple track just once during the week at home (not in any of her areas) for her to have a practice. I have no idea what method this is. Good luck.
  18. That was geat. I wonder if it's going to take off in Aus? Hope so. Congatulations.
  19. Thanks for the photos Shinji, they're great. That little poodle was great. Compared to all of the other dogs it was so dainty, it almost danced over the jumps. There was another tiny dog running. I've forgotten what the cross was, something like Shitzu/Silky Terrier and it was just incredibly cute. It had to take about 15 steps to the other dogs 1. Hey Shinji are you going to give Pedro and Guv a go at flyball?
  20. Give Clover a big hug from me, poor thing. Somehow we managed to survive the 2 hot days. Todd did much better than I did but he's had a lot of lounge time today. Sparty's dog Bodie did a brilliant job. He didn't miss a beat. They even had a start time of .000. It was great being around all of those beautiful dogs. They did such a good job in the heat. A few of ours threw the towel in on the 2nd day but generally they all held up well. I didn't get to meet too many people unfortunately because between stewarding, timekeeping and racing it was full on. I did manage to meet perieu, and Shinji was there with his beautiful little Toller Pedro, who is growing into a very handsome young dog. He couldn't help cooling himself off in our paddle pool. He just got in and lay down. Very funny. I also spoke with Dunny Brush who wasn't running her dogs because of recent surgery. For those of you who saw her thread on weight loss she looks great, not thin at all. Our team won 1st place in Division 5 and I'm very proud of my boy. I think he only made one error all day (I made a few though). I hope someone has a couple of photos because most of us just didn't have a chance to take any.
  21. Hi Shinji - Todd will be running on both days. They're doing 8 runs each day so he'll be in and out of the thingo all day. I'm not sure about other dogs, someone else on here might know. I hope they can because I'll have Lilli there sometimes and I want to see your dogs of course. If no one replies I'll find out and let you know.
  22. It's at Ringwood this weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Can you make it?
