  1. I've heard from a few people that have been to your herding classes and they love it.
  2. SKENES CREEK - VICTORIA http://www.skenescreek.com/ We stayed here for a couple of days and it was like camping grounds I remember from a long time ago. They have hot showers (a must) a BBQ area and a little shop that opens once or twice per day. Nearly everyone there had a dog(s) and I met some lovely people. The grounds are RIGHT on the beach and there are rock pools for the kids to explore. You can walk your dogs for miles along the beaches. We all had a great time and will be going back for some more.
  3. OMG this is so sad. I just can't imagine being in that situation. I hope Jed comes through ok.
  4. Hi 4Kelpies, Can you give me contact details for this. I have a friend who's interested.
  5. Ha ha ha , in Ballarat, not likely. See you next time.
  6. Who's coming to Ballarat this weekend? It's going to be a fairly long day as there's 22 teams entered. We'll be holding a raffle (as usual ) but this time all of the money is going to a 2 year old disabled boy who needs some pretty expensive gear like a wheel chair. One of the prizes is a cake made by 2 amazing women. It's a fruit cake (made by Julie) and it has been cut into the shape of a bowl. Then Colleen has decorated it with some icing stuff and turned it into an easter basket. It took them 16 hours to make. If you want to buy tickets come over to our gazebo, there's other prizes up for grabs of course.
  7. I didn't see this thread until tonight. Bugger If I had I would have said HI to some of you. I was there on Saturday with Lilli and Todd. Todd was in the Flyball demos. It was the first expo I've been to and the flyball was fun but I thought that there wasn't too much on display. I was expecting a lot more stuff. Thanks for sticking around to watch us Staff'n'Toller.
  8. That wouldn't be so bad, IMO. I'd love it if kennels would see their way to accepting Titre tests as an alternative to mandatory annual vaccination. Amen to that Erny.
  9. Gee I didn't word that well did I. Sorry about that Prada. I know that it WASN'T you with the pups in the box Prada. I should have said "I can't imagine why those people ....". I've no idea who they were.
  10. I saw you Prada but it didn't click that it was you. Very cute little fluff balls. I can't imagine why you'd carry 5 x 5 week old pups around in a plastic box, poor little guys. At least the organisers acted on it and borrowed a crate for them so they weren't too hot.
  11. I don't blame you. The weather was bodgey to say the least.
  12. Well, Ballarat lived up to its reputation as far as weather goes. We had at least 4 seasons in one day. The day was a great experience for some of the newer flyball dogs as they were running in a different environment with new dogs. Demos help heaps with training so the dogs can get used to running with all sorts of distractions. Hopefully this event will continue to grow and gain support. Unfortunately my camera batteries were flat but I did see another Doler there taking happy snaps. (Nice to meet you BTW)
  13. LOL Maybe their tunnels are too small.
  14. LOL the dogs love it. There'll be some flyball dogs coming up from Geelong too.
  15. It's on Sunday. I'll keep an eye out for you RuralPug. I'm the middle aged Santa with a Toller doing flyball. The horses should be good to check out and the Pet Comp are always loads of fun.
  16. It's definitely worth coming just to watch Elvis run. He's "The Man".
