  1. I'm not sure it will suit your needs. When I use the hydrobath I still use the seperate fresh water hose I have installed to rinse and rinse and rinse. Rinsing with the hydrobath never works to my likings.
  2. What sort of coat does Finn have? You said crazy mutt hair?? Just keep an eye out that it doesn't end up causing more matting. Sometimes having it thinned and different lengths makes it knot up quicker
  3. It depends what you call advanced. You could easily learn to clip the "pet" patterns of those breeds in 10 days especially if you already know how to clip.
  4. Take a look at this study http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0IS...69/ai_n15929285 Fish oil may actually help in humans
  5. Yes our vet didn't diagnose it the first time either.
  6. Our cocker had pancreatitis and this describes her symptoms as well.
  7. I have a Laube I Vac. I love it even though it is known to break a lot.
  8. Does the fluff out bottle list the ingredients? My brush gets wet all the time and I dont take *that* much care with making sure its dry afterwards. Its never rusted.
  9. I can count on one hand the number of clients that have actually asked me about my training. Its really quite scary.
  10. This is where they get themselves into trouble. It does make it sound like you will be capable of going off and opening a shop. Thanks for finding all that info btw
  11. No the I-Vac is a clipper in itself. Look at the wooferwares site. www.wooferwares.com.au A "Clippervac" (www.groomersfriend.com.au) go on different clippers.
  12. It would drive me insane turning up at a clients house for them not to be there. Does that happen much?
  13. oops sorry muckypup I didn't ever answer the question. The best thing I ever got for doing those types of dogs was the Lauve I-Vac. It doesn't help for the purebred dogs getting put in breed trims but for the little small white fluffy puppies that do death rolls and bite and get clipped an inch or so all over its a godsend. It sucks up the hair as you clip so you only need to do one pass making it a ton quicker. Also the vacuum sound seems to muffle the clipper sound so they tend not to be fazed by the noise.
  14. That's a business issue not a mobile issue. I also had 4 calls on Boxing Day, a call at 7am this morning and one at 10:30 last night. The difference is I have a seperate business phone and I turn it OFF. I can see who has called and when by caller ID but do not return these calls. You have boundaries if you make them and stick to them.
  15. There is more than one school in Vic. I know of three off the top of my head. You are right though....we dont have many seminars or tradeshows in this country.
  16. Its normal. He just needs a jolly good groom while he's blowing coat.
  17. If you think about the timing, its also when most people have their dogs desexed which can affect the coat texture.
  18. This is where a Laube I-vac is a godsend!! Take a look at the laube site. It sucks the hair up a little as you clip so you dont have to pull their legs out as much.
  19. poodlemum I think we deal with the same mobiles...
  20. Can you not go to the breeder for the grooming/lessons? You will find most groomers wont let you stay with your puppy to "learn". Its an insurance issue.
  21. Do you mean the cats are not being treated with anything? You need to treat them as well. You will also need to do the whole house. Not just your part.
  22. I dont think they are perfect. They just have the foresight to think problems through before they happen and take the appropriate precautions. Mojo are the wounds now healing up or is he still chewing them?
