  1. Thanks everyone. I have bleached the floors and yard and washed all blankets etc in a really strong bleach solution. Unfortunately he laid on every bed and blanket that Buster owns except for the one he sleeps in. Hopefully this will kill whatever was on there.
  2. Relating to my other thread about my rescue dog having parvo, could someone please help with a few questions. I am going to bleach the floors, all his bedding etc and the yard where he went to the toilet. How do you treat carpet where he was sick? At the moment I have urine absorber on it to soak up the smell and waste but that will not kill the virus if it is in the carpet. Do I have to treat the car? He has been in the car (not sick in it though) and I have been patting him then touching other things like the steering wheel etc. What else should I be doing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Last night he wouldn't eat dinner and began vomiting at 8pm. I checked on him at 3.30am and he had not been sick since 11pm when I went to bed. By 6.30 he had tried to drink a lot of water and it just came back up. I took him to the vet's first thing and he tested positive for parvo. The test came back quickly and with a strong reading. After what he has been through this week his chances are 50/50 at best, he is underweight, was desexed Monday and has heavy sneezing which could be kennel cough. I feel sick to my stomach for this poor little bloke and for my other boy who is now sneezing more than usual. Buster has been fully vaccinated but I will be sick with worry for the next couple of weeks in case he has caught anything. I was trying to save this poor little guy but might have put my own healthy dog at risk...I feel sick.
  4. good heavens no, I have no experience in doing that. He seems fine in every way, I just wondered if his little heart was under stress after everything he has been through.
  5. My rescue dog I got on Monday night will be sitting here fine then suddenly start panting like he has just run a 4 minute mile. It will only go for around 5-10 seconds then go back to normal. He is sitting on my lap while I am typing and has done it about 4 times in the last couple of minutes. He is really under weight and was desexed on Monday night. He is eating like a horse and walking around fine so should I be worried?
  6. What about the tallow in this product, isn't tallow bad? And what about rice being the first ingredient?
  7. He just barks until he knows the dog, if they ignore him he stops. He is not yappy in general. I realise I can't get him to do all this in one day but if I can learn what to do and take that home with me to teach him then that's what I'm after.
  8. I have a 2yr old Maltese X that has some fear aggression. He is a rescue dog and I have no idea of his past. Would he be suitable for this course and if so, what if he starts yapping at the other dogs? I would love to teach him to recall for his safety and mine.
