Apple Cider Vinegar. It's a natural product and is healthy for humans and dogs to have anyway. Start of with only a very small amount in the water, ie, a teaspoon or so, the dogs will need to get used to the taste. Otherwise you can put a tiny amount with their food each day if you wet their food down.

Actually I do sometimes and I have a giggle about it. If you met him I am sure you'd think the name suits him. anyway I've just changed the lens over and shot these from my doorway. they look blurred because the maggies are behind a wire fence so I changed to manual focus. It's just all practice for me. and Penny, Pucks mum giving me lip Your photos are looking very nice.... you'll be a professional before you know it!

I live in Morphett Vale, down the southern side of adelaide. We should do the next WEA course together so we can work together in between classes to practice Just came back from doing afew practice picces down the beach. I realised why alot of my shots were so terrible last night... I had the ISO set to 1600 Have since changed that setting to 200 and it seems much better. Another question that you wonderful DOL'ers might be able to help me with. I have the settings on the camera to take the shots at maximum quality however I notice if I look at the properties when the photos are saved on my computer they are saving at much less than the 10mp camera that I have. Some are saving at less than half. Is this because they are JPEG? When I do sucessfully fluke a good shot to have enlarged how do I know that the photo will able to be enlarged without going grainy? I want to enlarge a photo and have it framed as a gift. Any suggestions?

I look forward to seeing your results. Pity you're so far away, we could have a practice day together and get thoroughly confused have you had a look here, it's Canons own instruction site. http://web.canon.jp/imaging/enjoydslr/index.html Thank you, I will check out that website. Just incase it helps you or anyone else in our prediciment, the website and topic I found very helpful (idiotproof with piccies) was this one: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=414088

I definitely like the look of what that lens can achieve! I am writing everything down! I don't want to hijack the thread but one thing I would like some help on is whether this lens would be ok for distant shots, most of the photos seem to be more closer except for a few. I went to the beach last night with a friend to take some shots of her dogs and her. The shot I wanted to achieve was them on the beach with the water/sunset in the background. I played around with the different settings Landscape, Auto etc. to get in a lot of the background as well (I want to enlarge it to frame and give as a pressie) but the dogs and my friend weren't very sharp in the photos. I'm at work and the photos are at home so I can't post any up to show what I mean but I suppose I'm interested in knowing what kind of settings and lens I need to have the dogs, and the background sharp? I will do the next WEA course when it comes up but I only have a couple weeks before I need to give the pressie to my friend. The other thing is many of the photos came out looking quite dark. We are also getting married on the 15th of November and I'm thinking of asking one of my friends if they would mind taking photos for me with my camera but they know nothing about photography either We have a Canon 400D with the twin lens kit so I am happy to buy more lenses that are better quality.... just don't know what to buy. Oh lordy... so much to learn, so little time

OK, I'll write everything I see this is the EF-S 18-55 CANON ZOOM LENS EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 then there's a funny symbol like ll with a line top and bottom, probably greek then further round CANON INC. and further again a symbol like circle with a line through it and then 58mm On the EF 75-300 I dont need to take the cap off it's just written around the edge all the same as the first CANON ZOOM LENS EF 75-300mm then 1:4-5.6 and again the circle symbol 58mm so, does any of that tell me f stops I wish I could find a camera course nearby I have purchased the exact same camera and kit lenses. I've too heard that the lenses aren't too crash hot. I'll follow this thread as I am interested in peoples replies. I've looked into doing a WEA course but the current one has already started so the next one will be a couple months away. I realise I will have to purchase another lens or a couple more but still unsure what to buy for the kind of photos I want to take. It all seems so complicated and confusing

That wound looks awfully painful. Poor Beau. I haven't read the original thread but I do hope Beau heals well and quickly. Glad the vet is doing their part

Are Siberian Huskies The Most Untrainable Dogs?
Tahna replied to husky princess's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Siberian Huskies are very trainable, both of my guys do obedience and we love it. The key is to make it fun for them, training will be much quicker if they decide they want to do it rather than doing it because you want them to. You have to work out what your dog will work for. This may be food treats, pats, or praise. Your girl is very young and yes huskys can be sooo over the top excitable. You have to teach her manners when approaching other dogs as some will not appreciate a husky coming in with the determination of a freight train like I know my girl used to LOL. You need to be the boss at home (pack leader), this is incredibly important to avoid issues as she grows older, this is crucial!!! She will settle down as she gets older, by the time she is 3 or 4 she will have matured and you will look back and laugh at all the silly things she did. You may wish to join your states Husky Club as this can be a fantastic way to learn more about the breed and how they differ from other breeds that may be a bit easier. -
We purchased our 2nd hand hydrobath for $500 from the trading post in excellent condition. Unfortunately it was in Melbourne and we are in Adelaide but the extra couple hundred in cost in fuel to go and get it was money worth spent! Ours is a twin tub, autofill with a built in heater and I couldn't live without it now. If you can't afford a new one I'd suggest to keep an eye out in the trading post/newpaper in your local area, also I believe there is a greyhound magazine you can access online where quite a few hydrobaths come up too. Goodluck

Puppy Paradise In South Australia
Tahna replied to poodle3081's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Are you talking about Pets Paradise or Puppys Paradise? I understand they are a grooming chain Sorry my mistake, I read it as Pet Paradise. Sorry -
I am doing a bit of home research on the benefits of Barley Green in humans and the positive effects it has on people with cancer and preventing cancers etc. The results I am finding have been amazing and as a result I have started taking this myself, which got me thinking if it would benefit dogs in the same way. If you have fed/included Barley Grass in your dogs food, commercially packaged as 'Organic Barley Green', can you please let me know if you have had any of these dogs get any form of cancer? I would really appreciate any feedback on the health of any of your dogs that have been fed this, or similar product. Thanks heaps,

They are a pet shop chain. They sell product and pets (fish, birds, kittens, puppies, rabbits etc). What is it exactly that you wanted to know about them?
