  1. When I was little I had a keplie x bc (i think) and as he got a little older 5ish onwards he had seizures not daily but often enough but we always used to talk him out of it, I would just call his name and pat him and he would be fine! If I caught him once he was just beginning to have a seizure I could stop it completely by talking to him!
  2. I didnt know how to make this one confusing Miranda so I just had to say it straight out and simple Thankyou for the advice
  3. How much have you been paying for Sentinal Spectrum, and for what weights?
  4. if you scroll down on this part of the forum I have a poll on the best kibble! Seems supercoat and eagle pack to be the more popular
  5. what happens if you use other flea controls on top of Sentinel Spectrum?
  6. Hi, I have never really gone into too much detail about which heart and intestinal wormers are better... Has anyone had any bad experiances with any brand in paticular? And which do you find to be the best?
  7. Ok, please dont go into why you use this one, and you dont like this one because... Just vote which one your puppy likes and post other, if it isnt in the above list Thankyou everyone, I just dont want another food fight!
  8. hey again, Did you get papers with him anyway? if you did I would be interested to see who he was out of? I am unsure of what you meant about brown and white being the in thing, I have to say i havent seen a brown and white husky! congrats on your new puppy they are awesome
  9. which breeder is it? You will find it difficult finding a breeder with coat/colour combinations quareenteed! I take it you are only after a pet?
  10. Hey thank you for the top out of curiosity were did you get your puppy from?
  11. Sorry wasnt really concentrating when I typed that as in solids i meant, chicken, beef mince etc
  12. Thats interesting, what solids do you all think are best for a puppy 8 weeks - 12 months?
  13. Hi, I am wondering what everyone would advise to be the best kibble for 8 weeks to 12 month old puppies? I am currently feeding my two supercoat puppy, has anyone had better experiances with any other kibbles?
  14. Ok megzz surgery doesnt have to be an option the majority of vets will tell you this but it is not the case! Both me and my mother have done a major research on this and went and took it into and our own hands and got practical with a one year rehabilitation process, and guess what it worked without surgery. Firstly you will probably never notice the patella slipping when your dog is running around, but you will notice it on cold days and when the dog has just got up from laying down or in the morning when he/she has just got up! There is no cure to this not even surgery as there is the possibility that the ligaments can re-attach and cause you the heart-ache all over again. BUT you can manage it, and with enough rehabilition you will see it very rarely to none! How you manage it - Work, physical excercise especially on hills, this will strengthen the muscle creating a firmer hold on the joints and ligaments thus stopping it from slipping. After just a week of this work we found the locking had substantially slowed. After 6 months there was no locking at all. You can then decrease the work load but if your dog becomes unfit and the loses muscles the locking will come back again. Goodluck
  15. Hey dublin! if its when the dog is first getting up this would describe a luxating patella! The reason being that when your dog is first waking up his/her muscle is pretty cold and you will find once the muscles around the patella warm up they will hold the patella in place better! You may also get this problem on cold days.
  16. sidoney maybe u answered this but would you be able to tell me how each of those leads works and where they are meant to go on you dogs etc, and congrats on the syndey royal
  17. Sidoney with the chocker i can't ever get it to stay up around the top of his neck, what would you suggest to use instead? Like i said i have a siberian husky his coat being so soft doesnt help with it slipping down Pettmezz my boy is from sledforce out of Ch Sledforce Calliope et and Ch Baykalskee flying high.
  18. I see, no my boy is very socialised and i have never pulled or tossed him around with a chocker he just happily trots along side me, and he gets mega play time as well, he plays with any dog that will let him, its quite funny to watch actually. Where is your sibe from out of curiousity?
  19. do you show sidoney? If so with the collars is the chocker JUST a fashion thing or does it have other purposes? What is the difference in effectiveness between a soft lead and chocker?
  20. Didn't think so, thought i would just double check i was at kempsey show and all the pups were shown with chains. By the way im katie my other half is mick lol
  21. I have a 4 month old sibe baby, and i go to show training with him and was told only to use a chocker with him, he is very good with it and doesnt mind at all. Is this wrong? If so should i use a soft collar on him instead?
