Were did I say it was an excuse? I simply said it wasn't and ideal situation and it isn't, because I can't take her outside and I can't block her off to certain parts of the room like you could normally as Shoemonster said, she has to go out through the doggy door and I can't fit throught it and she can't go out the front door because there are other dogs here so I can't take her to a certain place in the yard but I can make sure she goes before coming back inside. Mjosa - I have heard of things like that happening and I was worried even though the fall isnt great, if she landed the wrong way anything could happen.

lol ta Shoemonster

I think I will have to from now on..Thanks for the advice everyone

Living in a site shed has that major disadvantage..it is just on big room.
-
That is the problem though, I never catch her trying to do it, its always when I am not in the room she jumps up. How do I teach her not to do something if I never see her do it
-
How do I do that Ci?
-
Once they poo on something (like Ci said once they go there they keep going back to the same place) what is a cover up smell I can put over that so she won't smell that she has gone there before?

What smells yukky to puppies?

Ci - We were doing that and she had it down pat and would always go on the newspaper in one specific spot in the house or in one spot out side, but in the last week she just decided the lounge and desk was the place to go now. Funny that you say that Experianced Fun, because my male sibe will detroy something if I spend more time with it than him, he can get really Jealous, he has since been taught not to, but as a puppy thats what he did.

There isn't enough room to move things around unfortunatly, not a very big room to move things. It is difficult to keep her out in the heat, I prefer to keep her in, in the air conditioning. She has a doggy door to go out and has the option to go outside, but lately it has been raining a lot so she will go outside roll and play in mud and come back in and jump all over everything, creating a huge mess. She can jump either from the bed onto the desk, or she can jump from the bedside table, the filing cabinet. We aren't in an ideal situation at the moment living in a site shed sort of thing so there isn't much room for everything. She just likes to poo on things, if it isnt the desk its the lounge.

My little sibe puppy has decided to take up the habit of pooing on my computer desk, before this she was really good and would always either go on the paper or go outside. But over the last week she has decided the computer desk is the place to go, problem is I haven't caught her once doing it, so I can't show her its wrong. Any ideas?

Ooooo I never thought of giving them them the pulp out of fruits, funnily enough i own a PULP juice bar store and I throw out all the pulp at the end of every day My little girly doesn't have a problem with the necks she will just swallow them whole because she is a pig. Anyone in the area want some pulp lol?

Why is it then, when your dogs are getting fat people will ask if your feeding rice or pasta and then continue you on in saying that if you were feeding that take it out as the carbs are helping to make them fat? I have changed my guys diets a little is there anything I should add to really give my puppy just that bit extra energy? She now has: Science Diet kibble Sardines premium mince (not every day) either chicken wings a caracess (not a whole one) or a meaty bone every day. Egg (only once a week) mushed vegies and Natural Yoghurt (daily)

I dont feed the necks my 14 weeks old trys to swallow them whole I liked the rice because it has a lot of carbs in it, is there something I should substitue with same about of carbs?

Puppy Scoffing Down Food?
~Myschafis~ replied to ~Myschafis~'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
MIRACLE...I worked it out I will show you how. Whilst I was washing all the bowls, I turned Myshkas bowl over to wash the bottom of it, and I found the PERFECT solution to her gulping, I now feed her from the bottom of the bowl and just shove the food done the cracks, all I had to do was turn it over, I have attached a picture of the sort of bowl she eats out of and just imagine it turned over -
Knew I forgot to add something...I was going to ask what sort of Yoghurt is best because I wanted to swap the leRice for yoghurt. Are there any sort of vegies that I shouldn't feed either one of them? Did they eat vegies and yoghurt sort of things in the wild?

Hi, Ok well I am not overly knowledgable about diets, but I do my best to try and make sure my doggies are fed well I would like to know, what really isn't necassary to feed and what should be incorporated into a healthy diet. I currently feed my 14 week old Supercoat puppy Kibble I little bit of LeRice (just makes kibble more interesting and tasty at this age) I little bit of puppy porridge Some pedigree alphabet puppy bickies (each letter represents a vitamin or mineral) Mince Chicken wings Rice And some times one of those big bones (I call them dinosaur bones) to help with her teeth and to slow down her gulping problem) - supervised of course. My 11 month old gets basically the same although I add some vegies, an egg (not every day though) and minus the puppy things - porridge alphabet bickies ;) What has me curious is, they wouldn't have naturally eaten a lot of what I am feeding them, but rice is cheap and fills them up. The knowledge and experiance from others is handy Sorry for the long post, any input would be fantastic

I shall try that one, that way she cant get her food to the back of her throat before swollowing (sp?)! -
My now nearly 12 week old puppy is a PIG...it is really gross to watch her eat, in the litter her nickname was miss piggy always on the milk bar and scoffing her face, but now it is just getting really bad, to the point were she is making herself sick and giving herself the hiccups. I have tried putting a large rock in the bowl to slow her down, so she would eat around it, didnt seem to phase her at all she just gulped around the rock and then licked the rock to make sure it didnt taste like anything! It is not as though she is underfed I give her 3 meals a day, she is not skinny nor fat, she is a good size! Any ideas?

I find it very hard to believe that the reason you choice a lab x poodle, couldn't be find in a purebred dog, bred by ethical responsible breeders! -
Grooming In Canberra
~Myschafis~ replied to canberra_labradoodle's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
It is because a 'labradoodle' is not a recognised breed, so therefore isn't anything other then a lab x poodle....If you do a search on "designer dogs" Back yard breeds, puppy farms...You will find why we get so upset when people pretend a cross breed to be a real breed!
