  1. Our latest litter of Pointer puppies delivered at home in early May. We have converted one of our spare rooms into a 'puppy room'. Floor is carpeted, so we lay Lino and tarps over the top and part the way up the ways then seal all the edges with waterproof tape. We also put Corex boards over the top of the tarp, covering the lower half of the walls for extra protection, and easy cleaning. And easy to remove once all pups have left home. Our house is centrally heated, but the vent to the puppy room is closed to avoid drafts. I also put a heat pad in the whelping box for the first few weeks also. Temperature set about 24-26 degrees. Pup are in this room full time for the first 3 weeks.
  2. Hmmmm Purple People Eater Purple Prose - meaning more complicated and formal than necessary Pink - Tickled Pink
  3. Just been through this with my current litter. I think that the AB was killing all of their good bateria in their stomachs. Protexin is a probiotic. You can buy a tub of powder from most pet suppliers, our local Petbarn stock it - I think that its around $50. Just mix up a paste (consitency of toothpaste) and wipe some in each of their mouths. I did this morning and night for 3 days and my guys were back to normal.

  6. Gee Whiz!! What a shock to find out that this is Jed!! I agree with everything that has been said on here, Jed you are a wonderful person and this place would not be the same without you!! Sending and best wishes to her for a speedy recovery!! RIP to her lovely dogs that have gone to the bridge
  7. Same here, but I do have a breed that can come in four colours. They are all welcome to put in their colour preference, but there is no guarantee that is what they will get. I know its a hard thing to make them wait what must seem like an eternity, but most are happy to wait until we choose our show potential pups at around 7-7.5 weeks. They get weekly updates on the whole litter, or just of the boys / girls depending on what they are looking for.
  8. Good point TTime, thankyou Thanks for clearing that up t-time
  9. I dont think that you would have a problem with its release unless it actually did bite someone during its stay. If that happened and the dog was declared a 'dangerous dog' then I guess it could be refused release???

  22. Yogi has had an awesome career both here in Aus and now in the UK. I love to watch this dog, and always have. I was very proud to see this Aussie pick up a BIS in the UK!! HUGE congrats to Naomi, Andrew & the rest of Team Yogi!!! :D ;) He also won the Eukanuba Stakes Final this year, which gave him a ticket to represent the UK in the World Finals that were held in the USA. What a way to end a show career!!!
