Best of luck Dhana sounds like your girl is doing the same as Scarlet, she kept me up all night panting, then started pushing in the morning but nothing was happening, her pups where to big to move down. Leanne

hows it going guys? just thought I would check to see if there has been any progress Leanne

Good luck to the both of you and I hope everything goes smoothy and you both have healthy, strong babies. Huge congrats on your gorgeous babies, they are so gorgeous Silly Scarlet decided she didn't need her stiches , some how she ripped all the internal stiches out, so 3 hours later we are home again from the vets She is still really grogy but her babies have all had a feed. Scarlets pups at day 2 are the same as weight as what Storms where at day 6 they are such little chubbies. Leanne

Shellbyville I add a cool mat in the box on hot days, if you don't have one a towel soak in cold water and put in the freezer for an hour also works. Hope it is cooler for you today. Kelpiesrule congrats on your new choc babies hope mum and babies are going well. Dhana I hope your foal recovers quickly for you and you are able to get some sleep before the babies arrive. Scarlets babies are going great guns, they have put on between 40-80 grams since yesterday Leanne

Great xray can clearly count the 8 bubbas. It all depends on how clear the xray is and if any pups are hiding behind another. Scarlet was xrayed and could clearly see 4 pups but she had 5 so one must of be directly behind another. I xray mainly to see if the pups heads are small enough to fit through the pelvis. Leanne

All the best with your girl Dhana and I hope all goes to plan. Poor Scarlets babies where to big to move down and had really stretched her uterus. I was so glad that I decided to go to the vets as I don't think the babies would of been alive if I had waited much longer, as it was they all took along time to come round and I did not think I would be bringing all 5 home. I would just like to say a big thank you to my cousin Roxbud who refused to give up on the pups. Pups have all gained weight this morning (only my second time in 15 years of having pups gain in the first 24 hours) and Scarlet is doing a fantastic job Makes you wonder where she is hiding that many babies in such a small body. Leanne

I don't contact people till they are at least a week old, just to make sure they are going strong and never let people come till they are vaccinated. As I normally keep a pup myself I have no idea on who is getting which pup till the end anyway. Leanne

A few pics of the pups. Pups are feeding well and Scarlet is slowing getting the hang of being a mother. Pups birth weights ranged from 390 - 410 grams, nice big babies these 3 like the milk and refuse to leave Leanne

After a very exhausting night and a c-section today Scarlet is the proud mother of 5 babies, 2 boys and 3 girls. All red with white markings, 1 boy looks like her. Pics later when I am human again. Leanne

Still no news here Scarlet managed to get a few hours sleep (lucky her) so far all is good, no pushing or straining hopefully by mid day might have some better news god I need sleep though Leanne

Hopefully your girl will come around quickly for you. Good luck with the few you have left to go. Hopefully Scarlet will be a good mum, she has stuck her head into the other box with Storm's babies (when Storm was outside) and has tried to toilet them. Still waiting here, she hasn't started pushing yet and babies are very active. Leanne

Still nothing here She was going to the toliet more but is now refusing to get out the box Leanne
-
wow she is doing a fantastic job, spitting them out Scarlet is still in the heavy panting, moving around the box stage my naturals never start before midnight Leanne
-
you will probably beat me, Scarlet is starting to pant now and has heaps of mucus probably will not see the first pup till 2am :D Leanne
-
I was hoping for 6 pups. The pups heads measured 3cm to 3 1/2cm and her pelvis is 4 1/2cm so hopefully she will not have any problems. Scarlets temp is down to 36.8 so should know soon if she is hiding anymore At the moment she is sleeping, looks like it may be a very long night Leanne
-
I could not believe it myself, thought she must have around 6-8. Maybe she will surprise me with a couple hiding. Leanne

Congrats to all the beautiful babies born :D I had an xray done on Scarlet today and was gobsmacked when the xray only showed 4 big pups ;) she must be so full of fluid the good news is that she should be able to have them herself Leanne
-
congrats, hope everything goes smoothly for you. Looks like you will be in for a late night. Leanne

Gorgeous babies all, mollipops mum looks so happy to have her babies or is that just relief to have 8 out and breath again A group pic of the girls at 1 week old. Babies have now doubled their birth weights and are such little chubbies :D Leanne
-
The temp should drop down around 36.7-36.9 Leanne

Scarlet has 6 days to go. She is becoming more uncomfortable and acting like she is pregnant now I am getting a lot of interest for show puppies from all around Aust, everyone seems to want a Scarlet baby Leanne
