  1. only living pups need to be registered Leanne
  2. ;) I don't give a hoot what others think about my babies. I think there gorgeous, the pet owners getting them think they are gorgeous and thats all that matters to me Leanne
  3. You sucker for punishment Leanne
  4. If I have to care for a pup after 10 weeks (mine usually go at 8 weeks) I charge $25 per week. I would be charging them just for leaving it to the last minute. Leanne
  5. My aim for this year is to attend more shows than I did last year, to have a ball at those shows in and out of the show ring and not get lost on the way there and home To hopefully have my teenager boy Jack better behaved and get his title and have a ball showing his baby daughter Raven. Leanne
  6. Congrats on your babies, glad all went/is going well. You can use different colour ribbon, wool etc. You can also buy puppy idetification collars. Leanne
  7. I would be building a secure (preferably with a roof) pen for one of the dogs to go into while you are not there. Some males (of any breed) can change after they have a mating. I have 2 boys who now can not play together as the younger one was used at stud late last year and now wants to be the alfa male. I have a few boys out there on breeders terms and am placing one of my male pups I have at the moment on terms. Once the pups are around 1 - 1 1/2 years of age I collect seamen from them then have them desexed. That way they do not really understand what has happened (no mating) and so far haven't had any change in attitude. It my pay for your sister to ask the breeder if they can collect seamen from her boy now (instead of waiting to mate him) as her circumstances have changed and she would like to have him desexed. The owners that have my boys on terms have the right to desex their dogs if they feel it is wanted for what ever reason, in the end it is their pup and they are the ones that are living with it. Leanne
  8. I think we really need to look at the breeders who sold her these dogs on main papers. Why would someone new who really doesn't understand the breed standard think bad of their dogs when the breeders are saying they are perfect by selling them on mains. It comes down to some breeders will sell anything for everything and not give a toss about the outcome. Memphis I hope mum and babies are going great and that you are getting some sleep. Leanne
  9. I love the smell too and use it not only for my dog needs but to wash my floors etc. I also put it in my wash when washing dog bedding etc. Leanne
  10. I have had it in the past where my mothers have had yucky milk, goes a blood or dark brown colour. These teats I tape up so the pups can not feed off them as it will upset their tummies. The teats still need to be expressed a few times a day and sometimes it does clear up. Scarlets litter is now 3 1/2 weeks old and have been eating mince from my hand for the past 2 days and they love it Tomorrow I will start them on soaked puppy dry and mince mixed together. Leanne
  11. I have always used delete. It is all natural and safe to use around the pups and mum. Leanne
  12. They didn't get advice they got abuse Leanne
  13. Notice the OP has not come back, wonder why!!!! Leanne
  14. I agree fully with the pups living enviroment, but there is a way to say it and then there is rudeness. Send a pm explaining what is needed, don't publicly belittle someone. The worst thing you can do is insult new people so they don't come back asking for advice. We where all new once and even after 15 years I am still learning new things thanks to this forum. Some people just don't get it Leanne
  15. Its not called fluff its called tact Leanne
  16. At least Aziah was tactful, all you have done is have a go at the op. There are ways of saying things. People who can say nothing nice should keep their mouths shut. Leanne
  17. You are just so polite No wonder so many new members never come back. Congrats on your litter of puppies and I hope everything is going well for you. Leanne
  18. They would not be registered, and run from anyone who says "English" Leanne
  19. That is why I said the majority. The ones that have a blue crop up every now and then normally do not advertise "blue/blue lines on main register" or charge you the earth for it. My personal opinion is that a blue does not conform to the breed standard (is a dilute therefor can not have a black nose like the standard states a Stafford must have) and any ethical breeder who is trying to better the breed will not breed whole/majority of blue litters. If someone wants a Stafford to show for doG sakes to do not buy a blue, it is hard enough with the amount of quality Staffords in the ring let alone with a blue. Some will not share my opinons and that is fine, each to their own and all Leanne
  20. The majority of the blue breeders do not health test their dogs or have even read the breed standard. It is all just $$$$$ for them The best advice you can give to anyone who is thinking of buying a Stafford pup is to stay away from any breeder that has blue or blue lines or sells the entire litter with main papers. Also make sure that both parents are clear for L2-HGA and HC at the least. If people stop buying these pups they will eventually stop breeding them. I really wish the ANKC would not allow blues to be registered on mains, it would solve a lot of problems. Leanne
  21. From all of us at Ozstar Kennels we wish all our friends on DOL a Fantastic Christmas. For those driving please have a safe journey. :D Leanne
  22. Wishing you all the best for an easy trouble free delivery of healthy babies. :D Looking forward to the pics when they arrive. Leanne ps would love to see pics of the proud parents to be
  23. I would love to make enough of a profit one day to be able to buy a new trailer, hydrobath and import seamen (or the whole dog). Hasn't happened yet though Leanne
  24. If you can have a litter and make a profit well done I have 8 pups here at the moment from 2 litters, both girls had c-section but thankfully my vet is not expensive. I own both the stud dogs used so I don't have that cost. If I don't count in food I will make a small profit ( about $1000) which will be put back into the dogs by doing up my kennels. My main profit is keeping 2 pups (1 from each litter) who will hopefully do me proud in the show ring. To me that means more than any amount of money made. Leanne
