  1. Where did I say I was better than them? As I was saying, these people can't read
  2. I agree. I was concerned watching that.
  3. Your posts have been balanced, educational and sensible Telida. It's been refreshing to read them. Thanks for bringing that to the forum. Shame about all the dickheads who can't read, don't want to learn, and only come here to entertain themselves by beating others up. I don't know what the solution to that is as they overun this forum lately. If you use ignore for all the idiots, there will be nothing left to read...
  4. Can you possibly confine all your food questions to one thread? You currently have FOUR separate raw feeding topics in progress on the first page in this forum.
  5. What about the important stuff? ANKC registered pedigree and health tested parents? Stick to the breeder's diet and give the pup time to settle.
  6. Try contacting the breed club or the canine council for support.
  7. Please don't buy a pup based on price alone. The pups in that ad looked either badly bred or crossed with something else. If they do not have ANKC registered pedigrees, they can not be guaranteed purebred. Also consider that many breeders will send pups interstate, you dont need to buy a pup that is within driving distance. Take your time, do your research, ask people in the Lab thread for advice and recommendations.
  8. Make sure you buy from a reputable registered breeder who health tests the parents, in particular hipscoring. Here is the Dogzonline lab puppy listing http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/puppies/labrador-retriever.asp
  9. A tough decision for you and one only YOU can make. I'd be pretty upset by people on an internet forum who do not know me or my dogs, telling me I am making the wrong decision in regard to something so personal and important. Best wishes with whatever way you go.
  10. What does promoting a pure bred dog breed, specifically YOUR pure bred dogs, have to do with the OP's concerns about taking a dog on breeder's terms? Why does every topic you get involved in (and there are many) end up going off track and being all about you?
  11. Quite a few times now I have seen you advertising your website in your posts. As someone who likes to quote forum rules at everyone else, maybe you should take your own advice.
  12. She's a Pug. Suggest you head into Pug thread for specific advice. Definitely do not put her in your bed to sleep. That's asking for more trouble.
  13. Its usually worthwhile trying to get the story straight in the first post. I hope your bitch survives.
  14. Issues with the male, and SERIOUS issues with the bitch? Oh, and you don't know the name of your own breed. Listen to those vets! Desexing now may save a lot of heartache and money.
  15. Thats right they won't cover you for any preventable diseases even if you have vaccinated. I had an argument with them when they knocked back a claim for KC treatment. I said to them I had taken all prevention measures yet we still got the disease - didn't matter to them as it is "preventable". This is one of the many reasons I chucked pet insurance away long ago.
  16. About $12-15 per dog usually, and up to $25 per dog for specialties and royals. Of course there are no other costs involved
  17. I have seen excellent results with the megaderm but came across the other product by accident and it is half the price and looks identical. I might give it a try. Shall look into the Nutricoat as well :)
  18. I think send this pup back and get a full refund. You may be in for a lot of heartache and big vet bills otherwise.
  19. Can anyone tell the differences (if there is any) between these two products (apart from price)? Vet sense Skin n Tone and Megaderm
  20. Did you forget to finish your post, or has your grammar gotten even worse than it already was?
  21. Umm, what does anything have to do with my needs? It's not my pup. Even though several similar opinions had already been expressed, you still felt the need to share yours, although useless and completely lacking in advice, and as I said, only serving to sink the boot in further. But then according to you that's OK as it's a public forum?
  22. See now, people like you who have nothing constructive to add but merely want to post as you enjoy sinking the boot in, are really not needed here.
  23. It's also concerning that his feet are splayed like that. His feet look pretty sore. Please get him to a vet as soon as possible and give him plenty of REST. No more hot footpaths under those baby feet
