  1. A sheltie, a havanese and maybe a greyhound
  2. Atanquin, can you please clarify this statement? particularly the bolded text. Just make sure your dog is inside and if it's not registered with the council then they actually have no right to take the dog as your the owner when you sign te council register papers then legally you don't own the dog but the council do . There is a bit more to it but might help to read about it if your worried I know I would be. You have to do alot of reading but would be worth it. If they find it of your property and thinks it's a pit then your a bit stuffed to put it simply there is a bit more to laws than meet the eye it also depends in the type but well worth reading
  3. Robbi, I just splurked coffee all over my puter.............Greyhounds...hhmmmm what next
  4. I am so looking forward to getting away....its been so long since I did a show away from the park I have had to write a list of things to remember to take.......lol
  5. Interesting result from a breed club....the dogs are registered as Staffordshire Bull Terriers, not English Staffordshire Bull Terrier. i find the people who are promoting ESBT are usually those who dont know any better. No wonder Joe Public is confused.
  6. not only that....take a look at any show and you will find a dog that does NOT conform to a standard .... and cross breed the APBT with anything else and it may not look like it fits the standard either........OMG
  7. Rottie......... Sorry I know this is no laughing matter but that assumption by anyone, even reporters is ridiculous. Its as much a rottie as a min pin or a black and tan havanese
  8. Angelsun, it is a very good article thank you for sharing
  9. We go there fishing every year. This year would be the first year we havent had a week up there
  10. Hi Jess I have shown GSD's in the all breeds ring (ONLY) on and off for the past 20+ years. Back 15 to 20 years ago shepherds were dominent in the group awards but as the confusion amoungst judges who were not comfortable with 'type' arose the level of group winning seems to have diminished. There are still judges out there who like what is sometimes referred to as an 'all breeds' shepherd, there are also judges out there who have made themselves familiar with the more modern GSD and are confident enough to put them up. There was a stretch of perhaps 10 years where the 'specialist' shepherds were quite extreme but by the same token the 'all breeds' shepherds were extreme in the opposite direction. Now I feel the pendulem is swinging back to a dog that can be pleasing to all eyes. I think shepherds will make a come back in the all breeds ring and the future is rosey. Nothing better than standing in a group lineup with the most majestic of shepherds in your hands, its a very proud feeling....as is gaiting a well trained shepherd around for a couple of laps and they show the reach, drive and power which make them such a special breed. Good luck.
  11. I figure there will be plenty of room to set up so thats another plus...wont be so much fun runinng in and out without much of a break. Must pack the fishing rods.

  14. Murve, there is a problem with the Sat numbers......my highest numbers are 304, 307 and 304 (three shows) and I know I am picking up another dog from my group who is after mine...... I am just trying to find out from the person who has my numbers if she has given them to me in the right order, if she has my sheltie must be in group 6 .... lol
  15. Well I am bringing 10% of group five.....lol Maybe they should put on an impromptu comp on the sat afternoon......
