  1. I normally wait until babies are a bit older to give them frames but I will buy some extra when I next get the older dogs their food.
  2. I think you will find, it is up to the individual vets. Some do it at 6, 10 and 12 weeks. Some do it at 8, 12 and 16 weeks and others do 8 and 12 weeks. The same way that some vets still insist on yearly vaccinations instead od 3 yearly or titre testing.
  3. I just noticed this. Why only 2? Mine will need his first at 6 or 7 weeks, before he gets here, then again at 12 and 16 weeks. The 'new' recommended vaccination regime is 8 and 12 weeks followed by 12 months after the last puppy shot.
  4. Faith had her first smashed chicken neck last night. I didn't cut it up into smaller pieces like I normally would for babies. Vicsta held on to it for Faith. Poor Vicsta nearly lost her fingers, Faith loved it so much. Normally Faith insists on watching Neighbours while she eats and you are not allowed to get in her way so she can't see it. This time she couldn't care about Neighbours until she had eaten the chicken neck. I will get her some wings or wing tips when I next go shopping. She really prefers chicken to beef.

  6. It was great to finally meet you as well, Cassie. Both Prada and Mooch's. sires came from SA. You did meet Prada's sire an grand sire at the Pet Expo and we own Mooch's sire.
  7. I bought Faith some chicken necks on the way home from work today. For babies, I normally cut them into smaller pieces and pulverize them with a meat mallet to start with and we hold onto the end of them so that they can't choke.
  8. Faith has been eating mince since she was 3 weeks old and she also gets some veg. I will get her some chicken necks and wing tips to try tomorrow.
  9. Thanks Ellz. That is what I thought. Faith is always trying to pinch Tyra's food.
  10. Faith is 5 1/2 weeks and has a big appetite. I normally start my pups on smashed chicken necks at about 6 weeks but I am thinking of starting her a bit earlier. How old are your pups when you start them on bones?
  11. I am sure Kari would be happy with either/both Zephyr and Hudson. :D
  12. We promised Kari that she could come next time. She would probably love Hudson. Then again she loves all boys.
  13. We enjoyed ourselves. It was great to see so many DOLers. Mooch finally settled down when it was time to leave and feed Faith. Prada fell in love with Zephyr. It is funny but our girls really love big boys. Both Tyra and Angel fell in love with Great Danes.
  14. We have been out of the ring for quite awhile and we want to get back to showing. Does anyone know if any show training in Adelaide? We had a great trainer in Sydney and it was good for the dogs to go to her.
  15. Not necessarily. When she is older and starts playing with our other dogs, it will probably get knocked out of her. :D
  16. A twilight meet sounds great. I was going to bring some cheese and sun dried tomato bread that I am making tomorrow. Is there anything else I can bring?
  17. That is a shame. We were really looking forward to going.
  18. Is the meet still going to be on if it is 37?
  19. She definately is BB. She is so bossy and always wants her own way. She bosses her mum around all of the time.
  20. She is very determined. Last night my daughter was feeding her while I was at work. Vicsta took Faith into the loungeroom so she was away from all the others. Faith decided she wanted t watch Neighbours on TV. Every time Vicsta's head got in the way, Faith would move so she could keep watching. The bowl had to be held in such a way that she could still watch TV while she was eating. Faith wouldn't take her eyes off the TV. When her mince was all gone, she barked at Vicsta and 'told her off'.
  21. Thank you MM. Yes, we went through a real rollercoaster of emotions. I was in shock when the kennels rang me. I still had 2 1/2 hours of work left. I came up with an excuse and they found someone to cover the rest of my shift. I probably broke the speed limit getting to her. I am very thankful of the owners of the kennel for staying with Tyra. They are also judges. If we decide to keep Faith we won't be able to show her under them for a while though. We didn't take our eyes off Faith for quite a while. If I was at work, my daughter was at home. Luckily, I only work 10 - 15 minutes from home. She is coming along in leaps and bounds. She was slow to put on weight at first but look at her now. She is so bossy though!
  22. It is a reasonable sized street. You are welcome to meet her though.
  23. Thanks everyone. CW - We quite often blow raspberries on her tummy. She loves it.
