  1. which one is more readily available (I'm in southern Sydney and both seem hard to find)? Eagle Pack is probably easier to find but Nutro is being stocked by more and more stores all the time which one is considered to be more nutritious for dogs? IMO Nutro is a better quality and more nutritious. which one is normally the more expensive? Eagle Pack is a little more expensive which one is better for coats? Particularly a Samoyed coat? Nutro is definately better for coated breeds. Eagle Pacl did nothing for my Elkhounds coats but Nutro has made a big difference.
  2. My dogs are fed the same thing every night and I now don't have any problems with them. I will add sardines or an egg or chicken wings to the meals.
  3. I know that Pet Food Plus on Canterbury Road, Punchbowl were going to start stocking Nutro but I am not sure if they have it yet.
  4. The sardines in the liver bread doesn't make them soggy. I cook it and let it dry out. I keep the treats in my pockets and they don't make the pockets or my hands greasy at all. I keep the meatballs and the liver bread in the freezer in small glad bags and just take a bag out when I need it. Actually. none of the recipes make my pockets greasy. That is why I like them.

  7. You are welcome. I have a lot of them but I thought they would do. My dogs favourites are the Liver Bread and the Low Fat ones. The low fat ones keep for a long time in an air tight container. I have just remembered that I had better make some more Liver Bread as I only have 2 bags left of it. When I made the tuna ones, all the dogs around me at a show loved them as well.

  9. I will have a hunt around for some others if you would like more. Liver Bread Tray of liver from supermarket (approx 500 gm) 3 eggs 1 tin sardines in oil (drained) 1 - 2 teaspoons Italian herbs 1 tablespoon dried parsley 1 teaspoon crushed garlic 2 Cups Wholemeal Self Raising Flour ¾ cup grated cheese (I normally use Parmesan) Blend liver and sardines in food processor. Transfer the liver and sardine mix to a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Spray lamington tin with cooking spray add contents of vomit mix and bake in oven 200 degrees for about 20 mins. Remove from oven and lamington tin and cut it up into little squares and then bake it again for about ten minutes - it dries it out a bit more and makes each piece less likely to fall apart in treat bags or pockets etc. Freeze in bags big enough for one show or training activity. Wheat Free Tuna Treats 1 can tuna (approx 225g) 1/2 cup chopped parsley 3 eggs, shells included 1/2 cup sesame seeds ground up 1/2 cup flax seeds ground up 2-3 cups potato flour Put these ingredients into a food processer, mix VERY WELL. Pour potato flour through the opening while the motor is running. I can't tell you exactly how much, but I would guess about 2-3 cups. When the dough forms, like a pie curst, and rolls into a ball it is ready to take out. Dump this mess onto potato floured counter or board. Knead more flour into this and when it is a rolled out cookie consistancy, it is ready to roll out until it is abour 5mm thick. Cut into samll squares or the shapes you would like. Bake on cookie sheets lined with baking paper. I put in as many as will fit. Usually two whole cookie sheets suffices. Bake at 190º oven for 20 min. Turn and rotate the cookie sheets and bake about 10 more minutes. You can make them as soft or as hard as you want. Low Fat Carrot and Cinnamon Cookies - Preheat oven to 180 C 4 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup cornmeal 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 cup chopped carrot 1/2 cup water 2 tbsp additional water 2 tbsp honey 1 large egg 1 tsp vanilla In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal and cinnamon. In a food processor, combine carrot, water, oil, honey, egg and vanilla. Puree until smooth. Pour over dry ingredients and stir until well incorporated. Knead until dough holds together. Transfer to lightly floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to about 3 mm thickness. With a fork, poke holes all over the surface of the dough. Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, cut dough into bite-size rectangles or squares. Place about 1 cm apart on baking sheets. Bake in preheated oven, in batches if necessary, for 20 minutes or until firm. Place pans on racks and let cool completely. Reduce oven temperature to 150 C. Bake for 30 minutes longer or until hard. Transfer cookies to a rack and let cool completely. Store in a tightly sealed container. Note If you are not after a low fat cookie, you can replace the 2 tbsp of additional water with 2 tbsp canola oil.
  10. I make all my dogs treats. The one I have found that every dog likes is liver bread. I tend to get mobbed by every Elkhound when I have liver bread in my pocket. It is dry and doesn't make my hands or pockets greasy. I also make biscuits for them as well as other types of treats.
  11. I wouldn't feed my dogs any other dry apart from Nutro. I have tried my dogs on Eukanuba, Iams, Royal Canin, Science Diet, Advance, Coprice, ProPlan, Optimum, Nutrience, Bonny, Pedigree, Eagle Pack and Supercoat and Nutro is the only food they all like. Their condition has improved since they started on Nutro. I have even had comments on how good they look. I had one very finicky girl and Nutro is the only dry she will eat and she actually gutses it down. The initial outlay may be expensive but as it is a super premium food you do not need to feed as much as other foods so it actually works out cheaper than some foods. ETA - My dogs don't seem to drop as much coat either when they are being fed Nutro.
  12. I have been having computer problems and my daughter had to rebuild it last night. I will get her to take some photos of my suits I no longer want and post them on the weekend.
  13. It does not have an elastisied waist but it fitted when I was a size 16/18. I have quite a few suits that are now too big. I will get my daughter to take photos of them and post them here. I was going to sell them on ebay but if I can find a good show home for them, that will be better.
  14. I will get my daughter to take a photo of the purple/aubergine pantsuit this weekend and post it for you to see.
  15. It is a shame you want a skirt suit. I have a really nice aubergine pantsuit that I wore to the Sydney Royal 2 years ago. It is a large 16 and is now too big for me. I will go through my pant suits that are now too big and try to get some photos of them.
  16. If any of my dogs need to lose weight, I replace some of their normal food with mashed pumpkin. The pumpkin fills them up but they still lose the weight. I know lots of people who swear by the mashed pumpkin.
  17. Bumping to let everyone know that this thread has now been pinned. Seeing people are placing requests for suits in it, it will make it easier to find instead of going through pages of posts.
  18. No problems, InspectorRex. My daughter has asthma and has the same problem. I hope Troy will pin this as I can see it getting a lot of use.
  19. I will keep an eye out for you InspectorRex. I will ask Troy if this can be pinned so that it is easier to find and we can keep track of what people are looking for.
  20. I will keep an eye out for you Missymoo.
  21. I don't think red would be your colour, Palane. The skirt would be an indecent length on you as well.
  22. That is a good idea, Midniara. Maybe we could ask Troy to pin a tread and people could list any show suits they want to pass on or are looking for.
  23. If some of my friends want them they are welcome to them, otherwise I give them to op shops.
  24. I am really glad to see that I am not the only one who measures the dogs food.
