How To Feed Pumpkin (or Butternut Squash)
Norskgra replied to sandgrubber's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I put it raw through our food processor until it is pulp and add it to their raw diet. I don't feed the seeds but do put the skin through the processor as well. -
Thanks everyone.

Thank you everyone. We are doing as well as can be expected, Cassie. It does nake Chanel more precious.

I am so sorry for your loss. Paris was eautiful.

After the joy of welcoming our new baby, Chanel yesteday, today we lost our beautiful Afghan. Turbo would have been 4 on 2nd March. RIP our beautiful Turbo.

I would feed it raw with the bones included. My dogs get raw whole fish, usually 3 times a week and love it.

I ordered some from Natural Pet Store yesterday and it was delivered today. I have been using them for quite some time and the service can not be faulted. I received an email to both my personal and work emails alerting me to the probelems with Orijin and was kept updated on what was happening.

Can you please add mine too? It just happens to be NORSKGRA -
According to their guide, 1 cup of the adult is about 115grams. So that would mean there's about 21 cups, though I'd say a couple less if you take into consideration the weight of the bag. Thanks Stormie. Some of mine are on Orijin but I buy the big bags. I am taking 1 Adult and 2 pups over to the Adelaide Royal and was trying to work out whether a 2.5kg bag would be big enough for the adult for a week.

I am trying to work something out. Does anyone know how many cups are in a 2.5kg bag of Orijin?

I am so very sorry, Fifi on the loss of your beautiful Tamsyn. It is so unfair to lose them early. RIP Tamsyn.

My HamiltonStovare had to have some of his intestine removed as well. He spent approximately a week in hospital. The vets wouldn't let him hoome until he would eat and he had to be fed tinned Hills dog food until he recovered which was about 2 weeks. It is a major operation and it takes awile for them to feel like eating. I personally would wither get some Hills from the vet, as much as I would never normally feed any of my dogs tinned food, or try him/her on some cooked chicken. They need something bland for a couple of weeks.

I am sorry you have had these problems with your pup. According to the law, the pup is classified as goods and you would only be entitled to a refund if you returned the goods, i.e. the pup. The breeder did offer a new pup in return for the pup you have. I think that is fair.

Some of mine are on a raw diet and the others are fed Orijin and are doing well on it.

Can Dogs Be Intolerant To Eggs?
Norskgra replied to Norskgra's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Thanks MissMolly. Angel is the first dog I have had in over 30 years that can not seem tolerate raw eggs. -
Does anyone have contact info for the Studio Sebastian bowls. I need some bigger bowls and I really like their ones.

I second the lemon juice and water. Also this is very good and is natural. Pestrol Regular

Can Dogs Be Intolerant To Eggs?
Norskgra replied to Norskgra's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Thanks everyone. I have never had a dog that had food intolerances before. Kari used to be intolerant to chicken fat but has grown out of it. That wasn't too bad, I just took the fat off her chicken frames or necks and she was right. It is now just Shadow and Angel. Hopefully they may grow out of it as well. -
Can Dogs Be Intolerant To Eggs?
Norskgra replied to Norskgra's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Thanks TT. At the moment I am trying her on the different parts of the egg raw. She had egg shell powder last night and so far it has had no effect on her. Tomorrow I will try either the yolk or white. If/when we find out which part of the egg it is, I will then try cokking that part and see how she goes. -

Sorry about Adele's name. It is out of habit. A friend from school spelt it the other way. Oh and by the way, Kasper is spelt with a K. -

Angel and Shadow are related to Adel and Taz on both sides. Their mother was a half-sister to Tyra and Kasper's sire is also Taz and Adel's sire. -
Can Dogs Be Intolerant To Eggs?
Norskgra replied to Norskgra's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
They get a whole egg. I am doing a test tonight because I have a feeling that it may be the egg shell. When she has a meal of meat or fish without bones, I add egg shell powder to balance it. I seem to think she has the same problem with the egg shell powder. I will try her in a few days on just an egg without the shell to see. -

Angel's brother, Shadow is also intolerant to beef. Maybe some food intolerance runs in the lines considering Odin's, mum and Taz are related to Angel and Shadow on both sides.
