  1. My backyard backs onto 3 other yards, 2 of those yards have dogs. One lot of dogs are quiet andwell behaved and don't stir up my boys, the other lot of dogs are a downright nightmare. The guy who lives with those dogs recently added another one, a blue heeler, that's 5 dogs in a small unit yard (I also live in a unit, but my yard is bigger than most suburban yards). The blue heeler is driving my dogs crazy, and my dogs are driving me crazy The heeler jumps up and down at the fence and barks at my two until, usually Kovu, gives in, cracks the shits and goes after it...and then there is much barking with 7 dogs from 2 yards going off. This happens pretty much all day. I go out there, tell my two to be quiet and they will...but then the other dogs will keep going and going and going until Kovu gets shitty again. I am getting incredibly frustrated with this guy's dogs, it's the same dogs that come into my yard all the time Please can anyone help with ideas on how to at least have my dogs stop barking at the nutters over the fence before I lose my mind? I can't block that area off and I can't spray my guys with water or anything like that because the fenceline is just too far away from the house.
  2. Is it a Rottweiler?? My rottweiler is a lazy bastard except when you have something he wants then he'd follow you to the end of the earth and back.
  3. Yes, sorta. I over-socialised Ruby when she was younger so she places a high-value on other dogs. But I can usually get her focus back to the prey. Isn't that annoying?! We get told "socialise, socialise, socialise" and then we get focus problems later on. Kovu has been left with zero focus when there are other dogs/cats/balls around :D
  4. Good o, because I have 5 cats that need to disappear :D
  5. WOW! Even more incentive to get the money together to have Kovu learn this Question...will that dog do what was on the video under distraction from other dogs? I want Kovu to work like that even if a cat runs past (big ask, I know!). Kovu is also impossible to walk if someone is throwing/kicking a ball around :D
  6. A gorgeous boy and a lovely tribute

    How very sad
  9. Linky link  Triangle of Temptation
  10. Exactly. I also tried a full BARF diet with my GSD and he lost condition and his coat was shocking...AND he didn't even really seem interested in it. He's a Bonnie boy, darn well loves the stuff, it's the only thing he'll lick the bowl clean for :p
  11. What a beautiful tribute that was :p And such a long and happy life he lead
  12. The puppy runs are so cute, takes them a while to learn how to use those legs without looking rather stoopid
  13. I have never seen a poodle puppy before! So cute
  14. Daegon burps, and then tries to pretend he didn't. He seems to try and stifle it and then when I look at him he kinda glances around as if to say "what? wasn't me!"
  15. Wonderful that you've found such a caring vet. I hope the bloodwork helps to get this under control
  16. Snow Heeling Scroll down to scope's post and I believe it's video four, so beautiful
  17. I can get fairly good focus from the shepherd with a toy, although he will try to grap at it, jump up at it etc instead of heeling nicely for it...not too sure how to stop that. The rotty is still only young and has no attention span ;)
  18. Thanks again sas. I don't have rubber tips for the prong collar, and it wouldn't fit around the rotty's neck anyways, he's all neck right now ;)
  19. Thanks for that sas ;) I do have a prong collar, it only fits my GSD and I wont put it on my Rottweiler because I feel he's too young for that. I can't get to my local obedience club unfortunately because I don't have transport...I also didn't really like the big classes there either.
