  1. Thanks Pandii, I was very proud of my big snuggle bum I'm sure Dante is a good girl too!! I need more photos of Dante, I haven't seen nearly enough
  2. Bit of an update... Daegon had his grade one exam today (and we hadn't practiced for a month, but shhhh don't tell anyone!). He did really well and passed with a score of 94/100...and yes, he did the drop from the stand, woohoo! Thanks for all your help everyone
  3. This is fantastic news Jodie, so happy for you!
  4. O/T again, sorry guys My calendar goes from the 9th to the 30th with no classes in between...very odd Is the tracking training held in the same place?? I would LOVE to get my guys into that, I enquired about it some time ago actually but didn't have the transport. I *may* have someone who could get me there on a Friday.
  5. I've only just started feeding it to my guys as a preventative so I will be upping the dose slowly till I get to nearly 2tsp each night. Daegon and I couldn't get to training on Sunday as Katinka went away for the day and I don't have any other way to get there. Will hopefully be there this week...although on the calendar I was given it says there are no classes this weekend?
  6. I get the Nutralife stuff, it is glucasmine/chondroiton/MSM and it's at the health food store. I give both dogs 1 heaped tsp each night.

  8. Still thinking of you today Erny, sending all the strength I can
  9. I will be thinking of you both tonight and tomorrow Erny, I hope all our thoughts will give you strength
  10. What did the vet have to say? Thinking of you guys
  11. It certainly was amazing, would give hope to any who had their pets diagnosed as well, just incredible. Looked to be very, very painful...but what's a bit of pain (with pain relief) when the animal gets to live out the rest of it's life happy and healthy?!
  12. I've just been looking at that link morgan, and here is a link off that link. Clickity Click Shows the treatment with a donkey...what can I say but WOW. Donkey pretty much given a death sentence with such a rapid cancer...6 weeks later cancer free
  13. Great photos, makes me feel oh so much better Hope they do better for you next time :D
  14. What is this board method?? I'd like to use it for Kovu to get the formal sits/drops.
  15. Which hand are you using to bring down in front of their face? I always keep the treat in the hand closest to the dog, it keeps them in nice and close and they aren't trying to look around your body to see where it is, so they stay straight
  16. Yes, it does seem to me that he just doesn't know what "OK" means...just sits there staring at me still. OK, will do a word change and try and get really excited by it all so that hopefully he gets what it means. Adding a second dog in around food could possibly end up in a fight here, and although all pack fights are sorted out quickly between these two I don't particularly want to risk any kind of injury. And a cat wont work because neither dog will eat anything when there's a cat around...the cats rule the roost here Thank you
  17. OK I've got a question on this. I've been doing this with both dogs for the past month or so I guess it's been...Daegon is MUCH better than Kovu, Kovu is a fidget bum and he just wants that food and the drool that comes out of his mouth is making a rather large mess. But that's OK. My question is with Daegon. When it's dinner time he wont look at the bowl at all, he follows me to the feeding spot, sits, then eyes on me...eyes never come off me. I've built him up to a 2 minute sit stay with me about 5 metres away, he does it perfectly. Will keep working it until it's a 5 minute sit stay, then I want to work it out of site. Now, my question is...when I say OK as the release command...he wont eat. He wont move or take his eyes off me or eat his food until I've walked away. What's going on here and should I be doing something different?
  18. I have a German Shepherd Dog and a Rottweiler in a 2 bedroom unit, although the place has a big backyard. Both dogs are happiest inside at my feet anyways
  19. Thanks for that, I'll have to try and see if there is one in my area
  20. So very sorry to hear this, what a terrible shock that must have been
