I was thinking this also. We had someone showing one of our puppies, she rang and said puppy was skipping and she thought it was patellas. We got him checked out and it wasn't patellas, he had 3 broken ribs and was skipping because when he extends it pulls on the ribs and cause's pain. How he got broken ribs is still unknown He runs normally most times but then throws in a skip now and then and sometimes he skips all the time.

We left our old BC with friends while we went on holidays a few years back, the were not doggie people and when we returned he had a hematoma in each ear. They had no clue when they had came up so off to the vet we go to have both operated on. He ended up with very bad cauliflower ears. The vet said they were left too long We had no idea it had happened. Poor baby was in alot of pain

Haley is still not in the clear. She is really fighting it though. She just sleeps most of the day and is vomitting a bit. She isn't eating and her back end still not working. I just hope the poor baby doesn't have any permanent damage after all of this time she is such a sweet little lady

I rang Haley's owner last night and she wasn't doing too well at all and I am just now going to check up on her. Will update shortly

Hey guys just a reminder about Ticks. Had a call from a friend this morning and one of her dogs has gone down with a tick. She is currently in the vet, has been since 7am. Not good as she is 11 years old but otherwise in great health. Keeping my fingers crossed for Haley. She is from our old boys first litter.

Flame me if you like but I do charge more for my bitches. Female Havanese are few and far between but then my girls only go to other breeders and show homes so it doesn't affect the pet buyers. The other breeders also do the same in my breed as far as I know and I am not an unethical breeder.
