Are They Trying To Tell Me Something?

I offered a couple to my boy yesterday and he looked at me with an expression that suggested I was an idiot if I thought he might enjoy it . Bumma ..... and there I was thinking I had something I could add to his good diet regime on a periodic basis and that it wouldn't cost me anything. -

I thought I'd cleared it sufficiently SnT - messages to my email are best as the PM box seems to always and quickly fill up. Would love to know but I was mainly joshing - I'm just being a sticky nose, so please don't feel obliged - I didn't mean you to.

Oh come on!! I wanna know what you wanna know!!! I hate the suspense of not knowing. Not fair SnT

Love your photos, FrodosMum - especially the top one .... that's worth framing Hope everyone is sure there are no chemical sprayed to the rose bushes before your dogs' eat the rose hips. Might dash out and pick a few for my boy - see what he does. I'm so behind with the gardening and trimming, I have lots. -
Vets All Natural - Perfect Puppy Nutrition
Erny replied to Dr Bruce Syme's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi :) With the offal that is included in the VAN "Raw" and "Raw 76", .... in particular, liver - has it been inspected and 'treated' (so to speak) for hydatids and can we be confident there are none? Cheers Erny (Judi) -
Costs actually converts to about $93.00 AUD (including postage). But still seems reasonable give the size of the tub.

I saw this - it was inspiring. I also thought that it was good the little dog made it on to TV .... I hope that happened in its home country as well, as if the dog has someone looking for him at least they'll have a chance of getting him back too. Either way, looks like the little fella is going to be a bit loved.

Steve - do you know how long she needs the food to cover for, or is it an ongoing thing at this stage? Reason I ask is that food does have a shelf life and if she's receiving lots of food all at once it is likely to run out of date without getting all used up. Can we stagger this? If delivery is required I'm sure I'll be able to manage a drive over that way, if you need.

Bring out the Active Manuka Honey. If you're in the area and/or have been on the grounds where it has been, give your dogs a dose or two or three. If your dogs have it, use it to sooth the throat and provide the antibacterial and immune system support stuff that it does. The higher the UMF the better. Aim for 20 UMF or upwards.

I absolutely loved my "Lucky Duck". And (ok .... I'm about to be embarressed but ....) I felt good about the Angel charm also sent to me - one that was there to look over me. I had much going on at the time and admit to feeling as though the rug had been pulled from under me. These sorts of things .... stuff that really brought to my attention how many people really cared when I could not have thought so much of myself to believe it. Oh - and I point Lucky Duck in the direction of others whom I know need help and ask her to send her luck to them now. I really like the idea of the post-cards with messages and having it collated. I still know the feeling of warmth I felt when people wrote in here to DOL .... and the support it gave me.

This ^^^^, Mantis. Kenny wouldn't want you to quit on hope. Reach out ..... someone will be there to grab your hand :D.

It shouldn't be about "tight enough" - I'd suggest a better quality tape is required. I find the elastoplast tape very sticky and successful in holding on. I had one on Mandela's ear tip and it stays on for a good couple of weeks (this without it getting wet).

How Long Does It Take To Digest Food?

Hoping it's nothing, Taketwo. Good luck. Good for you for being observant. -
Lol - know what you mean. I accidentally copped the end of my boy's tail on the back of my hand and was surprised it didn't blacken or break a bone. Ouch! (Much!) . Bruises to thighs is almost standard wear, these days, hahaha. My Mum comes here and stays over some times. She's elderly (85yo). Mandela is great with her, quite staid - which is really unusual for him - but my biggest worry is his wagging tail connecting with her. THAT would seriously cause some damage .

Come live with me, MtS ..... I'd love you to be looking after the meal preparation for my dog - you put in such a lot of time, energy and thought. Oh yes ..... and money!! Lol - I know your pain on that one. My doggy food bills match yours plus some, and I only have one dog !!! -

Thanks TSD. She tells me she's going to follow through by taking up her enquiries with Croydon. I've only spoken with her via email, but she sounds like a nice person :). -
I use wide elastoplast. I cut a length from the roll that will be long enough to go around the tail without it being tight or even necessarily firm. I also cut off one side of the sticky part, so what I'm left with is one half sticky and one half the yellow cotton. I place it so the yellow cotton part covers the damaged tip and extends just slightly past it. I press the sticky part to the tail and let this hold it in place - no need to wrap it firmly. I find that stays on his tail for a reasonable number of days. Of course this would depend on whether Gus is getting it wet or not, and whether he is inclined to nibble at it. My boy tends to leave his alone. My boy's tail tip only seems to break open when his "Ear Margin Vasculosis" condition is flaring, otherwise (amazingly, considering the whacks he subjects his tail to) it is ok.

News worthy stuff, what MDBA Pacers do. Very heart-warming. Well done, Pacers, Julie, and all else who have been involved and helpful .

Thank you, CFS. I've directed her to Croydon - seems to be the closest one to her. Cheers Erny
