  1. I use a similar product, it is a flouro pink colour spray, wish I could recall it's name it is excellent for wounds and keeps bugs away too.
  2. Personally, we don't soak kibble. Dogs are designed to chew and if the kibble of one brand is too small, then find one that encourages better chomping. Sags (St Bernards) I don't soak anymore with pup's, but i have witnessed pup's not used to dry can choke/spit a little so I add a little warm water and mix it through some mince or equivalent and slow them onto it dry.
  3. Thanks Pointees, we have a petstock about 25 kms away but they don't sell any refrigerated goods unless you count the walls of gold fish! I also loved the smell of eco pet too! The amount of raw junk we go through though we need to follow suit with a chest freezer, i bought out of the local paper a few months back and i was so excited! The bloody thing broke two days after, so i got ripped well and truly...
  4. Mmmmm wondering if the vet sells his/her own doggy brand? I use Naturesway joint food from the supermarket - works just as well as jointguard and about half the price. Tried sasha's blend, as I was sent a sample, but he got an but upset tummy pretty much straight away. Mmmm I wonder... I have a host of Rott's that say it does work and very well. I've had "growing" pains in young dogs and the human grade products worked wonders then my previous exp with the animal products. I do believe though feeding/exercise/genetics plays a part not necessarily in that order...
  5. I've actually seen people parked alongside the HWY with their dogs mating, so it is all about time, convenience, distance etc I guess.....
  6. Me too, and these can be used for us human folk also.... I have tried joint guard for about 6 months but found the human grade stuff better but that is for my dogs, as we all know different dogs respond accordingly.
  7. I have in the past had fussy eaters, we did fasting and diet changes but found Eco pet a great product and none of them said no to it. I am disappointed though as nowhere in a 80 km radius sells it anymore.
  8. Yep that's the one It is a worrying issue. Who, the powers are that are able to decide for us, as dog owners what is dangerous, what is a restricted breed, and of course making it "easier" to prosecute cases". "Dangerous dogs" that is a dog labeled a danger from a council officer with what dog knowledge? What environment? So many questions......
  9. Every animal should be on lead or crated included all resident animals during business hours and after hours when clients come in.
  10. I would love it if vet's could lock up the resident cats wandering around...
  11. Huh? Nothing was said about satanists in the article. That poor owner. Good point. Disgusting......
  12. So basically you emailed the breeder to do what exactly? If you aren't in the market for a Stafford puppy why email them at all. I would imagine they would be busy with the puppies and looking for real homes etc Genuine question.
  13. x2. It's not the method of advertising that counts but the care in home selection
  14. What precious photos, thank you for sharing all these motherly girls with us.
  15. Hi Sheridan, I never offered to post a link, I merely objected to all speakers being categorised as anti pure breed. I know you didn't offer. I asked for one. You stated that it's not anti purebred so given McGreevy's well-publicised mutt stance I have asked you to provide something that shows he's praised pedigree dogs. Link, please. How about a balanced view on pedigree dogs? Or is that too much of an ask? How about going after the welfare of crossbreeds? How about going after the welfare of dogs in puppyfarms? Or are pedigree dogs your only target? I have not read this thread in it's entirety, however where is the notion from that this seminar will be targeting pedigree dogs exclusively? Welfare of dogs I have read but I am curious to read more so perhaps I will look over the rest of the thread. The title of the seminar is a good title for registered pure breed breeder's.
  16. One of my girls gets gassy on it but she gets gassy from most food I get mine from petstock. Fussy dogs may not like it mixed in but if you make them wait a bit longer to eat usually the fuss gets worn down with time...
  17. Our dogs live with kids and see others often. I have found children are naturally unpredictable so I keep mine crated whilst they are visiting.
  18. Good post, corvus this is true of all dogs, body language is the outer sign to recognise when identifying drives but also what the dog is working from inside. For example the dog in the pic i posted, was caught between barking and lunging.
  19. Thank you........I see you have changed your name! Yes, what do they say "a change is as good as a holiday" even if it's some small ones lol. I am genuinely sorry to read of your situation, I wish you strength and confidence to better the new year for yourself. Life can change so dramatically, best of luck for 2010.
  20. Here's and old one of cisco but it captures drive.
  21. Yes we started using it last year with raw meat, very good stuff. I do not use all the time but I do like it and would recommend using it. I make it up in a container and refrigerate it and spoon it out as required with beef mince.
  22. These are what we have except with carpet squares down the bottom.
  23. Welcome back Ambervale. Sheppies and Leo!!!!
  24. They can't, and that will suit them when they hand out fines for doggies breaking the one metre law. Bloody moronic.....
